So like many other Tyranid fans I was disappointed with the lack of options in the new codex. So I have been working on a "patch" to make every unit and biomorph viable without being over powering or changing the dynamics of the codex too much. I tried to keep the changes in line with the fluff as best I could, though I do borrow from earlier editions at times. After I iron out the bugs I might adopt this for casual games with my friends (depending on how they take it). This is what I got so far and I would appreciate and feedback or recommendations for improvement. Unless stated otherwise all these changes are in addition to the current rules.
Note I am editing as a go based on feed back
Changes to Biomorphs and Weapons:
Rending Claws are AP 4
Fleshborer Hive is Twinlinked and can be exchanged for the acid spray free.
Grasping tongue's Gulp Rule is as follows:
A hit roll of a 6 made with this weapon results in a Precision Shot. Units hit with the grasping tongue must take a strength test, if the unit fails this test suffers instant death and the Haruspex may regenerate a wound per the Feeder Beast Rule (however if additional wounds are inflicted in the assault phase no additional lost wounds are regained for that turn based on this rule.)
Deathspitters now come in two varieties. The current codex Deathspitter (unchanged) or Twinlinked Deathspitter with Acidmist maggots as a Monstrous Bio-cannon.
It has the following profile:
Range 18" S 5 AP 5 Assault 3, twin linked, ignores cover, Cost 5 points

Template S 6 AP 3 assault 1 and Template S 5 AP 4 assault 1, torrent
Rupture cannon is now Assault 3 and has the Tank Hunter USR.

The Reaper of Obliterax is 35 points

Fluff: Certain Hive Tyrants have been engineered to bring even more of the Hive Minds awesome power and control to the battlefield then the much feared Hive Tyrant already brings. These mutated Hive Tyranids have miles of extra neural cords weaved through their body to channel this power. Each neural cord is protected by a tough neural sheaf. In addition to granted expanded synaptic power it makes the creature much more resilient to damage. But these protective sheaves result in extra weight and fortunately for the foes of the Hive Mind these varieties of Hive Tyrants are incapable of flight.
Rules: Hive Tyrants with Expanded Synaptic Relays have Psycher Masterly Level 3 and Have a base toughness of 7. Additionally the Hive Tyrant receives +D6 inches to Synapse range (this distance is rerolled at the start of each of the Tyranid player's turns). Note: Wings cannot be taken with this Biomorph.

In addition the chosen units Leadership become 10 for the remainder of the turn.

Rapacious Hunger rule is changed to the following: In the turn in which a Haruspex charges, every unsaved Wound that it inflicts in close combat immediately allows it to make an additional 1D3 Attacks. These bonus Attacks cannot generate further Attacks. Wounds that inflict Instant Death only generate one bonus Attack. Note that Wounds caused by its Hammer of Wrath, acid blood or tail biomorph do not benefit from this rule.
Additional Special rule: Swallowed whole!
When a Hauruspex make a Smash attack all units hit that are not vehicles or bulky (or larger) must take an initiative test if they fail they are eaten and suffer instant death (Even if the unit is normally immune from this rule). If they pass resolve the wound as normal.

A Carnifex armed with two scything talons can take Bio-Plasma and spine banks at no cost.
Changes Trygon/Trygon Prime:
The Trygon/Trygon Prime can take Prehensile pincer or Toxin spike at no cost.
They gain the "Static burst" Rule.
Static Burst: Because of the intense amount of electrical charge built but around the Trygon when it tunnels it must release all the elective energy it cannot store when it emerges from underground or it risks damaging itself. So upon exiting it's tunnel it must release a massive electrical pulse and if foes are near all the better for the Trygon.

If, when a Trygon (or Trygon Prime) deploys via Deep Strike, it scatters on top of impassable terrain or another model (friend or foe), reduce the scatter distance by the minimum required to avoid the obstacle.
After the Trygon (or Trygon Prime) has emerged, mark the position under the creature’s base with a suitable marker – this represents the tunnel left by its emergence. Any friendly Tyranid Infantry unit that arrives from reserve in same or subsequent turns may emerge from the Trygon’s tunnel instead of arriving from reserve as normal. Only one unit (excluding the Tyrgon that created it) may emerge from each tunnel marker each turn.
If any unit chooses to do so, place the entire unit so that all of its models are wholly within 6" of the centre of the marker and in unit coherency. These models cannot be placed within 1" of enemy models or within impassable terrain; if any models cannot be placed, these excess models are removed as casualties. A unit may not move or charge on the same turn it arrives from a Trygon’s tunnel, but may shoot
