Tyranid Army Creator 3.0 (6th ed) - Beta Download Available

Hi guys,

I just wanted to give you guys the heads up that I have completed the updates to the Tyranid Army Creator for the new codex and have released the beta version of the application to the general public. Information about what the new version contains as well as the download instructions can be found at the link below. Feel free to post in this thread or the Warpshadow one if you have any comments/suggestions or find any bugs/crashes.

From what I can tell, this is only for Windows OS computers....right?

At this point, yes. Sorry...

If I had more free time to develop, I would love to do a mobile version.

Hey no worries. From what I remember (and hear) you do a great job. Just my main comp is now MacOS. But I am sure I will put it on my secondary (gaming) rig.

At this point no. It was developed for a Windows environment that can support .Net 3.5. If I were to port it to a different platform, something java-based (perhaps Android) would be my first choice.

I will try it out frost bergs, but my lap top boots to mac. Just never used my win 8 much. Guess will try it out and see if Win 8 is any good. Hopefully I have the .Net 3.5 since I am not familiar with win 8 at all.

I very much support Creator. I donate to him with every release. Really great program and really great guy. On a side note, if you donate, you get his alpha releases.

Pretty dang awesome, in a warrior brood how do i cycle through the different models to get a barbed strangler or what ever?

Reading the help file or the instructions in the original thread on Warpshadow would be a good start

Create a brood with the non-heavy weapons and save it. Then right-click on the brood in the army list and select "Add Tyranid Warrior to brood..." and it will open another UI to configure the single Warrior with a heavy weapon of your choice.

Note about Carnifexes - spine banks and bioplasma are not muutally exclusive, you can use both at once.

I'm probably just fail at this but I can't get it to install. Downloaded it and the .Net 3.5  I'm on Win 8 OS. When I click it to unzip my unzip program starts then brings up the start menu. Never had this happen to me before honestly.
