Thanks for watching!
Army lists are definitely coming, I had this video all ready to go before I got the idea from you on the previous batrep. I'll have it in all future vids.
Definitely will also work on the zoomed out filming too. The new army shots bit is still in the experimentation stages.
As for the Biovore and Venomthrope, I had the Tervigon either just in range of them, or would use dominion or a run move to move the Terv back if dominion failed me.

Lol that would be my brother. I'll tell him to put a little more life into his speech.
I think I am also going to try and head down to my local GW at least once a month to get a couple games in with some new players/armies.
Also appreciate the feedback too. I am enjoying the newer style of batreps we are doing, and it is just great to be back into playing 40k.

Finished up my third tournament at my local GW and it was an absolute blast.
Met a ton of new people who invited me to their local gaming store for future battles. Plus one individual is starting up a local ITC scene as well.
Written batreps to come soon once I have the time. Here was the list I used, and did it ever work well together for the missions we played.
1500 Pts
Hive Fleet Detachment Hive Tyrant- Wings, x2 Devouers Hive Tyrant- Wings, x2 Devouers Hive Tyrant- Wings, x2 Devouers, E-Grubs
Venomthrope Venomthrope
Mucolid Mucolid x3 Ripper Swarm - Deep Strike
x15 Gargoyles Hive Crone

We played Eternal War missions. Had Crusade, Big Guns Never Tire, and Emperors Will as our 3 missions.
I'm working on the write up now.

Time for some write ups. First off though, wow what a fun event. I had a ton of fun and learned quite a bit as well. My local GW is pretty insane with 5 gaming tables, and enough terrain to comfortably cover them. Everything from the ambience music they have(Dawn of War soundtrack), to the beautifully painted tables just really makes things so immersive and enjoyable. But honestly the best part is how accomodating they are. I was about 20 mins late (I live a fair distance from the store and traffic was bad), but they still managed to fit me in, and even put together a 6th table space for me and another opponent. It was great!
We played a total of 3 matches using Eternal War missions. I will try my best to get my opponents lists correct too, but there was a fair bit I was unfamiliar with when it comes to naming formations and such.
One thing that was very sweet, was that all 3 of my opponents were absolute pleasures to play with. I got their contact info as well, so hopefully I will be able to get many future matches in with them. Maybe you shall see them in one of our future batreps (I certainly hope so)!
So onto the first match. My opponent was a SW player.
CAD Wolf Lord - +2 sv, plasma pistol, power sword Wolf Lord - Terminator Armor
x5 Terminators - x1 SS/TH, Assault Cannon Rune Priest Dreadnought - Heavy Flamer, Hellfrost Cannon
x10 Grey Hunters - Plasma rifle, Meltagun, Plasma Pistol x10 Grey hunters - x2 Plasma rifle
x5 Wolves
Vindicator
Stormwolf
The Mission:
Crusade - 5 VPs Dawn of War Deployment Nightfighting is in play.
The Table: We played using the GW modular table thing (The name escapes me), so there were six sections in total. The table had a large ruin roughly in the middle of each section. That was about it, but the ruins were large enough that it offered lots of cover.
I had two objectives placed near my deployment zone, while my opponent had 3 objectives to place. He put two in the table sections near his deployment zone. The last one was on the far left hand side of the table in the middle of the field.
Deployment: My opponent won the roll to deploy/go first. He set his Priest and the x2 Plasma GH squad in some ruins on the left side of the table. The Lord and the other GH unit started in the center of his zone in some ruins, with the Vindication to the right of them with the Wolves. The Dreadnought was on the far left and the Stormfang and Termies were in reserve.
I started my LAN on one of my objectives near the back of deployment zone out of LoS with a Venomthrope. Two flyrants started near the LAN, with the other Venomthrope, Tyrant, and the Crone in the middle of the table by an objective in my zone. The Gargs screen in front as usual.
I fail to seize.
Turn 1: He kills off a few Gargs and that is it. My Venomthropes shrouding saving the day.
My Tyrants kill off the Wolves and the Vindicator and also some Grey hunters in the middle of the table. The Gargs moved forward with the LAN killing off a couple more Grey Hunters in the middle and dealing a wound to the Lord.
Turn 2: His Flier arrives and knocks the Crone down to one wound. I fail my grounding check and roll a one for the wound! (This is huge). He fires at my Warlord Flyrant and actually manages to take him out (Skyfire objective...) with some insane rolls and poor rolls on my part.
I retaliate with the Crone going off the board to strip off two hull points from the Stormfang, and one of my other Flyrants finishes off the Fang. The Termies drop out and the Termie Lord dies along with two of his buddies. Another Flyrant kills off another Termie, while my LAN drops several Grey Hunters off the unit in the back left. My Rippers arrive and land on the objective previously held by the Wolves on the far right. My Exocrine strips off all but one hull point on the Dreadnought.
My opponent then rolls for his morale on the termies...rolls a 11!! Followed by a 10 for their distance...and they are off the table. Not too shabby for the Nids.
Turn 3 Opponent tries to fire at the Flyrants with all his units and fails to damage them. His Dread fires into the Exocrine with the Hellfrost, but he misses terribly. He then charges the Gargs with his center Grey Hunter unit with the Lord and manages to kill all but two of them. I kill off one Hunter in return and am out of Synapse. The Gargs get run over and the Hunters move towards my LAN firebase in the back.
My Flyrants kill off all but one of the Grey Hunters in the back left, and leave the Rune Priest with one wound remaining. My Exocrine charges the Grey Hunter with the Wolf Lord and kills off the last Grey Hunter.
Turn 4 He tries to fire at my Flyrants but does nothing. The Exocrine does one more wound to the Lord.
One of my Flyrants kills off his Grey Hunters and the Rune Priest, while the other kills off his Dread. The Crone lands to take the mid objective. The Exocrine and Lord miss one another.
Turn 5 His Lord does one wound to the Exocrine, while the Exocrine fails to wound the Lord.
One of my Flyrants attempts a charge but fails. The Lord then fails to wound the Exocrine, though this time the Exocrine nails him with all hits and wounds succeeding taking down the last Space Wolf model.
The final score is 17-1 for the Nids.
It was a very fun match up and my opponent was excellent! I am now sitting with a nice solid win and await my next match.

Alright time for round #2. I am super pumped about the solid performance in game 1 and am hoping I can keep the momentum up. We gather for the match announcments. I eagerly await my name being called. I get matched against "Player 3", and proceed to my table. To my pure joy it is the TAU! It was a Trip tide list and it looked scary. I figured it was fair though, Trip tide Vs Trip Flyrant.
But what made it all ok was that my opponent was a straight up awesome guy. I had a chance to speak to him briefly before I started game #1 and he is starting up a ITC series of tournaments in my Province which is extremely awesome. We exchanged contact info and I really hope I can get more matches in with him and his group.
Anyways back to the game at hand.
We both were a little intimidated of one anothers list. To my surprise he mentioned he never really saw a list like mine, which I hoped would give me a slight edge. However he did have some formations that I was new too, which could also be a issue for me.
Time for round #2 as I hoped to take down the dreaded Tau.
I am really not 100% on the formations or complete upgrades, but I did my best to remember them.
Hunter Cadre? Battle Suit Commander
Broadside - Heavy Rail Rifle
Firestorm Team? x5 Fire Warriors x5 Fire Warriors x5 Fire Warriors x4 Pathfinders
Drone Network Thing? x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones
Phirana Formation thing? (They can fly off the table if within 6" at end of their turn) Phirana - Seeker Missile, Burst Cannon Phirana - Seeker Missile, Burst Cannon Phirana - Fusion Gun Phirana - Fusion Gun
Riptide Wing Riptide - Heavy Burst Cannon, Stim Injectors, Fusion Gun Riptide - Heavy Burst Cannon, Stim Injectors, SMS Riptide - Ion Cannon, Stim injectors, SMS
The Mission:
Big Guns Never Tire - 3 Objectives Dawn of War Deployment No Nightfighting
I also rolled the infiltrate Warlord trait which was huge.
Table: There was one large ruins section in the center of the table. One ruins section in the very back of my zone, and a bastion in my opponents left hand table corner. The rest of the table had forests scattered about. One objective was in the back ruins on my table side, with the other two being in mid field on the left and right table edges.
Deployment: I won the roll for deployment & first turn. I set up my Lan firebase on my back objective with the Gargs lined up in front. I have one Venomthrope ready to make a run for the central ruins section. I plan to try and keep him here and let the Flyrants come and leave a nice +2 save bubble...while they still have it...
My opponent deploys his Riptide wing in the right corner along with three Phiranas. He puts one Phirana on the far left table corner behind the bastion. Two marker drone units are on the left table, while the other two are on the right. His commander and broadside start in the center of the table. The rest of his army remains in reserve.
Two of my Flyrants infiltrate near the central Venomthrope, with the Crone and Warlord Tyrant on the left to chase down one of the Marker drone units and the lone Phirana.
He decides not to seize.
Turn 1
My Flyrants all fly forward utilizing cover where they can. My Veomthrope moves and runs into the central ruin providing one of my Flyrants with a +2 sv. The Gargs jump forwards towards his Riptides. My Warlord Flyrant kills his lone Phirana on the left and the Crone kills off all but one Drone. One Flyrant fires into his Warlord and my opponent passes all 10 lookout sirs, and then rolls a total of r 1s in a row followed by two 2s! That gives me Warlord and a point for Heavy support.
My opponent moves nothing except disembarking his drones from the Phirana. He does this insane superchargecrazy fire thing with the Riptides that gives him something like triple shots with all his guns... It was nuts. But the truly insane part was when it was all said and done I took only two wounds on one Flyrant and lost two Gargs! His Riptides were not allowed to jump due to their super shot. Bang my Gargs were ready to pounce. All three of his Phiranas leave the table to get more drones.
Turn 2
The rippers arrive in front of the Riptides near and objective with one Mucolid landing on the right by the Drones.
One of my Flyrants leaves the table to stay safe as he was limited on his targets. The Gargs jump towards the Riptide. I fire with my Flyrants into the Riptides... a grave mistake as I should have killed the drones instead. The Biovores/Warriors/Exorine kill off two more Marker Drone units leaving only one unit of 1 model left. My Gargs then assault and tie up TWO of the Riptides. Both who are armed with the heavy burst cannon.
My opponet only has one firewarrior team arrive with the pathfinders. They come on right behind the Riptides. The Phiranas also return with more drones who disembark. Everything that can fires into my Flyrants, and don't even cause a single wound. Nice! His Drones then charge my Gargs and kill off a couple of them. I kill only one drone in return.
Turn 3
My Flyrant returns and moves forward to take down those pesky Phiranas. My Exocrine lumbers towards and objective on the left. I kill off all of the Drones and two of the Phiranas. I also kill all of the Firewarriors and kill all but one Pathfinder. I had a tough choice to make as I could run with the Exocrine to grab an objective , but I needed a 6" run, or I could fire at the last Phirana to prevent him from stealing the objective on me. I fire with 5 hits (Even with BS3)! Then I roll and get only one PEN and a glance. He fails the glance but jinks the pen. Dangit. In assault he kills off my Gargs and gets ready to move.
We hear that we are running low on time. This looks to be the last turn...wow I wish I knew so I could have landed some linebreaking tyrants...
He fails to bring on the rest of his Fire Warriors and his Riptides move to claim the right hand objective. His Phirana then zips over to grab the left hand objective...uh oh. His entire army then fires into the Exocrine who is worth 1 VP. I pass a ridiculous amount of saves and FNP from Catalyst and he survives with 1 wound!
Thats game and my opponent has two objectives to my one. But I had FB and Warlord. Just as I think it is a loss, we both remember that one Broadside!
Final Score is a tie of 6-6.
This was a fantastic match and I am completely satisfied with the draw. Great opponent, and tense all the way through. I am glad I performed as well as I did vs the dreaded Tau.
Definitely learned a lot as had I watched the time closer I could have easily stolen linebreaker and even landed a Tyrant to contest another objective. Live and learn though!
So I have one large win and a tie against one of the tougher armies. It was time to await my third and final match up.

Hunter Cadre? Battle Suit Commander Broadside - Heavy Rail Rifle Firestorm Team? [Counterstrike Cadre and they should have 4 Devilfish with them]x5 Fire Warriors x5 Fire Warriors x5 Fire Warriors x4 Pathfinders Drone Network Thing? [Drone Net XV 1-0, great formation with lots of good rules for the drones]x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones x4 Marker Drones Phirana Formation thing? (They can fly off the table if within 6" at end of their turn) [Pirhana Firestream Wing, broken if you play it as "freely" as possible, especially with the Drone net giving the gun drones the BS3 upgrade]Phirana - Seeker Missile, Burst Cannon Phirana - Seeker Missile, Burst Cannon Phirana - Fusion Gun Phirana - Fusion Gun Riptide Wing [That's the Riptide Hailfire. If each Riptide did not move in the movement phase, once per game the formation can fire each of it's weapons twice, resolved one at at time and at the same/different target each time. If it used it's nova reactor to fire it's secondary system a second time, then it can fire it 4 times instead of two. And then it can't move in the assault phase (but it couldn't have gone anywhere in the movement phase either!).Riptide - Heavy Burst Cannon, Stim Injectors, Fusion Gun Riptide - Heavy Burst Cannon, Stim Injectors, SMS Riptide - Ion Cannon, Stim injectors, SMS

I had two objectives placed near my deployment zone, while my opponent had 3 objectives to place. He put two in the table sections near his deployment zone. The last one was on the far left hand side of the table in the middle of the field. Objectives are placed before rolling for table sides (with the exception of Emperor's Will). I'm guessing 'one'? Nice going, especially against the Tau.

And yes that was a one lol! Fixing it now. almostmercury - thanks for clearing those up. I am extremely unfamiliar with all the new Tau formation names and abilities. I may have been wrong on the Firewarrior one, as he certainly had no devilfish. Maybe it was part of the Hunter Cadre if that is a thing?

I posted that the hunter cadre was missing units, but it didn't apply I guess. The Hunter cadre requires a minimum of 1 commander suit, 3 troops, 1 elite, 1 heavy, and 1 fast. The pathfinders are the fast, broadside is the heavy, and 3 fire warriors would be the troops.
He's still missing an elite choice then. It would have to be a unit of crisis suits, a riptide, ghost keel, or stealth suits.

I can't recall anything else in his list to fill out those slots. There very well have been something there like a crisis team that didn't arrive from DS something. It was a fun game though and things still worked out alright.

Time for the third and final round. I am feeling pretty good at this point. I had one solid win, and a tie against a rather tough looking army. The names were drawn and I proceeded over to the table. My opponent then arrived and I was excited to see that I was up against some Night Lords. Beautifully painted too I should add, and I wish I had snapped a picture of them. I don't get a chance to play Chaos very often so I always enjoy playing against them.
My opponent was a extremely friendly guy and was also looking forward to battling my Nids.
So lets look at what I was up against.
CAD Chaos Lord - Burning Brand of Skallathrax Chaos Sorceror - ML 3
x10 Chaos Chosen? - x4 Plasma Rifles Rhino Dreadnought - Multi-Melta, Storm Bolter
x10 Chaos Marines - Meltagun, Plasma Rifle Rhino x10 Chaos Marines - Meltagun, Plasma Rifle Rhino x10 Cultists
x4 Chaos Spawn - Nurgle Marked x4 Chaos Spawn - Nurgle Marked
x5 Havocs - x2 Missile Launchers w/Skyfire Missiles, x2 Autocannons
Mission: Emperors Will Vanguard Strike No Nightfighting
Table: There was a fair amount of ruins on the table, though it was not very high so it did not block a lot of sight lines. I placed my objective in a ruin in my back field center for my LAN to hold onto. While my opponent did the same for his objective on his end.
Deployment: I won the roll off to go first and setup my LAN, Venomthrope, two Tyrants, and the Crone all in the ruins by my objective. My other Tyrant started to the upper right of my zone with the other Venomthrope. Gargs lined up front as usual.
My opponent started with his Rhinos all lined up near the table center with the Cultists and Spawn to the left of them. The Havocs sit on his objective while the Dread was on the far left flank.
He fails to seize.
Turn 1: My Crone and Tyrants all fly forward. The Venomthrope on the upper left just slinks forward to go for linebreaker. Gargs jump straight forwards. I kill all of his cultists with my Biovores, and kill off one Spawn. My Tyrants blow up two Rhinos and the third Tyrant & Exocrine kill off all the contents of one the Rhinos leaving only the Lord with 1 wound.
He advances forward with his Spawn and the Lord joins them. The Dread lumbers forward. Anything that can shoot does so at the Tyrants and cause no wounds. He kills off two of my Gargs and fails his charge with both Spawn.
Turn 2: Both mucolids arrive and land near the Havocs. The Rippers also arrive near his objective and Havocs. My Flyrants continue to circle his main force. The Gargs jump to the right to get away from the Spawns. My Crone vector strikes the Rhino and takes off a HP and leaves the table. One of my Flyrants fires Warp Lance and pops the last Rhino and I kill a few Marines in the explosion. The exposed unit is then pinned thanks to the Tyrants Shadow in the warp affecting the Sorceror attached to them. The Flyrants drop the Lord and kill two spawn and deal two wounds to the next one. The other Spawn unit is dropped down to one model with only one wound. I also kill off several Marines from the other squad with the Biovores.
My opponent moves the Dreadnought through some ruins but only moves 1". The Spawn lunge forward to go after the Biovores. The rest of his army fire at Flyrants and cause a single wound on the Warlord who passes grounding. The Spawn charge the Biovores and the unit of two takes a wound while not harming the Biovores!
Turn 3: The Gargs, Warriors, Venomthrope, and Exocrine all move to take on the Spawn. The Two Flyrants and the Crone finish off all of the Chaos Marines except the Sorc and one other Marine with him, who bust morale and run away a few inches. The Havocs also loose 4 Marines to my Warlord Flyrant with only one Autocannon remaining. The Gargs, Warriors, Venomthrope, and Exocrine join the combat and finish off the Spawn without loosing a single wound in return.
My oppoents considers conceeding but then decides to try and play it out to see if any hilarity can occur. The Dread only moves 2" in the ruins and gets no where close to my units. The Sorc and Marine fail to hit the Flyrants. The Havoc charges the Mucolid in a hilarious suicide attempt. He is successfull in his attempt lol.
Turn 4: I finish off his Sorceror and Dread with my Flyrants and that is the game.
It was a very rough match up for my opponent as I just had too many fliers for his list to deal with. I had a ton of fun in this game and my opponent was in great spirirts the whole match. We exchanged contact info and are going to try and get some rematches in one day.
Tyranids win with a score of 9-0.
In the end I go with a 2-0-1 record and I couldn't be happier. All of my matches were great and my opponents were awesome. I definitely learned a lot from this experience and hope to do even better in whatever tournament I find myself in next.
Now that the day ends though, we all gather to hear the results. My local GW does not give exact scores or full standings but rather gives out the following awards.
Best Painted Best Sportsman Best General Best Overall
The names are announced and I end up being best overall! A huge surprise which I gladly welcomed! I wanted to check out my stats in a bit more detail but I was running late and had to get back out to start my drive home.
I hope you all enjoyed my write ups, and I hope to get some batreps in with the guys I met in the tournament one day soon.
