With all the changes that the codex brings its easy to complain and moan about the loss of XYZ. However, without taking in all the changes you can't really get a feel for how this effects us nids as a whole. With all the rumor threads and talk of changes I found it difficult to keep track of what all actually changed. Thus, this list became a reality. What follows are my 'patch-notes' for the new Tyranid release, compiled based on my read through of the new codex while I referenced the old codex. This post contains only a list of changes and is not intended to be a codex replacement. As such, point values and rules that carry over from the old codex have not been listed. If you see an error or correction that needs to be made in the following list, feel free to reply with the appropriate update. Otherwise lets try and keep posts to a minimum to avoid any unnecessary negativity.
**As per the forum mods request, please keep discussions of these changes in one of the many other threads. If you like this list of changes you can let me know by pressing the thumbs up icon ->

- Removed Mechanic/unit/rule
+ Addition of Mechanic/unit/rule
* Mechanic or unit/rule change
**************************
***** Tyranid Army Rules: *****
**************************
Instinctive Behaviour
* New Behavior type: Hunt
* Now rolls a d6 on one of 3 tables for effects when units start their turn outside synapse. There are 3 tables each containing 3 effects depending on the unit: Lurk, Hunt, and Feed.
Shadow in the Warp:
* This rule used to make enemy psykers within 12" roll 3d6 for psychic tests. It now lowers the leadership of enemy psykers within 12" by 3
Bio-artefacts
* A small array of Melee and Ranged artefacts have been added to the tyranid wargear list. These artefacts can be purchased by select Tyranid units detailed below.
* The Maw-Claws of Thyrax: Rending claws that award preferred enemy once you first slay an enemy with them.
* The Norn Crown: Increases synapse by 6"
* The Miasma Cannon: A str-1 poison 2+ cannon that can shoot a 36" blast or template

* The Reaper of Obliterax: A improved Bonesword/Lash-whip combo with +1 STR and the Shred USR
**************************
****** Melee Biomorphs: ******
**************************
General CC changes:
* Tyranids now follow the normal 40k rules for having multiple melee weapons (extra attack). However, Tyranids consider all melee weapons as "pairs", and therefore must have two "pairs" of weapons to get this benefit.
* The ability for Tyranids to retain 'all weapon benefits' has been removed. For example. equipping a Tyranid warrior with Rending Claws and Boneswords now has the side effect of making the warrior choose which weapon to use per the BRB pg. 51
Note: The Bonesword/Lashwhip combo is considered a single weapon pair so you can still use the Bonesword and the Lashwhip together.
Scything Talons:
* Ability to Reroll 1's (and all attacks for 2) has been removed
* Weapon is now AP6
Boneswords:
* No longer Ignores Armor and are instead considered AP3

Adrenal Glands:
Gained Fleet in addition to furious charge
Blinding Venom:
Note: Technically this is a gargoyle special rule but appears as a general biomorph upgrade.

Regeneration:
* Instead of rolling a d6 for every lost wound and regaining it on a 6, you now roll a single dice and

upgrade
* New Addition
