what ya most looking forward to?

with the possibility of a new codex in the next 3-6 months it's got me wondering what i'm most excited about since this is my first new codex. the top 3 things i'm most eager to find out are:

what changes to warriors, both rules and box wise. will their box come with a sprue with wings to make shrikes? i have a soft spot for warriors so this is the top of my list.

will lictors finally be worth while to use? it's a butter unit, great looking fig butter unit isn't worth taking.

awhile ago there was a rumor that "endless swarm" would be in the new codex for a steep price. eager to see if it is.

and i have to throw this one in as well, what will be on our cover? so far the new covers have been amazingly done and i'm very curious to see if they continue the trend of using one figure on the cover. if they do which one will they pick?

I'm looking forward to there being a colour scheme for like the Gorgon Fleet, and some other... not much comes to mind right now. But I've always been really curious about what the colour schemes are. idk seems stupid but I'm looking forward to it

Lictors, stealers, warriors and a more viable fex.

Make the venom cannon semi-reliable at tank hunting so we don't have to rely on hiveguard/zoans, make it S7 AP2 and then it can at least pop AV13, HVC can then be S9 AP2 to take on the heavies; would then be more prolific with it.

I really hope the rumoured new policy "every unit viable" isn't just a rumour. Most of all I want more competitive builds - I want to be able to take Nidzilla, Horde and mid-sized focused builds, and beat the best players skill-by-skill without having to rely on blind luck.

Especially I want to see the rules for our mid-sized (T4) units shaped up so I can use them again in competitive play. I love the Warrior and Ravener models, but they have been pointless game-wise since 4th ed. Even more so the Lictor and Venomthrope. I won't even mention the worst of them all. It's beyond redemption, nothing short of a complete re-write can make it useful.

I want Nids to get something to stand alone as the only army without allies - rather expanding FOC slots than getting Imperial Guard with tails (lame stealer cults) to patch our weaknesses.

Horde - Genestealers and Hormagaunts need to get something to make up for the nerf to assault (Overwatch, Fleet nerfed, no assault from reserve, losing attacks when multicharging and the list goes on).

Remove the stupidity (no CC upgrades for Raveners wtf, Pheromone Trail not working until everything has arrived, Trygon tunnel borked, pointless weapon options, Tyranid Prime with no options for wings and can't join units in spores, and all the rest).

Don't care much about the codex cover, but I sure hope we don't get the 'heroic single individual monster!' to represent the billion-faced horror that is the Great Devourer.

I am looking forward to see, if Spore Mines can assault and run again, and then see it get nerfed in an FAQ. I swear that FAQ was specified at me. Ok haven't said that joke in ages.

Play wise, I am looking to get rid of the stupid mindless rule for Rippers. I want Lictors to be actual useful. I want Tyranids to actually be faster. At least our CC units should be fast. Also a rule about being in terrain, we don't strike last. Like come on, we are animals, we are use to being in terrain. It's humans who get caught up and slowed down by terrian. Nids? No, that should be one of our special rules to make us stand out.

"All units viable" has been a goal for every codex at every release.... why wouldn't it be? DO you really think they purposely go "Hey, lets put X in so no one will ever use it?"

But looking at most codices.... they just can't do it.

Almost every codex has 2-3 'must haves' that are in just about every army; and many many 'no ways' that never show up in a competitive army.

"All units viable" was something written apparently during Tyranid playtesting on a whiteboard, by going after the rumors.

I'm hoping that we will get something similar to battle focus from the Eldar, which allows certain unites of ours to run and then assault.

Pyrovore, Lictor? I am not so sure GW is a miniture company after all. If they were a miniture company then these units would suck.

I would look forward to cool rules but after seeing the already released codexes I'm not to optimistic about getting cool rules and viable carnifexen and warriors, I go in with low expectations this time that way I can't be dissapointed only happily suprised. At least I hope so
