hey hive,
so for a while now I've been lingering in the shadows not really doing much, until recently.
so a couple weeks ago, before christmas, I picked up a pack of dark eldar scourges, I wanted to paint them. I wasn't sure at the time if I actually was going to start them as my next army but I really wanted to paint them.
so I opened the pack and after going over what weapons came in the pack I realized my ignorance, I had know idea what these weapons were. So went with the basics, with a few adjustments of course
anyways they sat on my table for quite some time waiting for a color scheme to pop into my head. about a week ago I got the idea and started painting.
I've only finished one beautiful female, due to redoing many sections and ideas until finally settling on what is to be known as "the kabal of the cracked skull"
and so I present the first member of my raiding party:
So i tried a new technique on the blade, I tried stippling. I like the final effect, in fact I find it very different and actually quite cool but what does the hive think?
so I also tried feather for the first time, I've never really used this technique and now that I've done my first model I feel like I could have a better job oh well I do like the effect. also I've managed over the course of my hobby years to stay away from skin tones, I have space m. and tau armies. So again what are the hives opinions of the application of the these techniques, I would love for some feed back, and any tips if you've got em.
well that really is it, Im proud of how the model turned out, I know I can deffs work on my technique and application, so please any tips and C&C are totally welcome.
oh ya as far as the base I'm undecided as for how to make it, any ideas on that are also welcome.
cheers.
