Halloween themed tyranids *update 10/16/11*

I've been rolling some ideas around in my head and have come up with a few conversions I'm going to attempt

Jack-o-lantern mycetic spores and spore mines
Headless Deathleaper with sky-slasher style flying head
Swarm Lord with chitinous skull mask and double ended scythes instead of boneswords
Spider themed units like my prime (no link available atm) or lictors or raveners


I would like others thoughts on this idea or even a few ideas of your own. I'm really in the Halloween mood and really want an army to match ( though it will take past Halloween to complete )

I love all of these ideas! But I really should have specified I was looking for a more scary base than a comedy base. But I may just need to adjust my original plan now >.< Thanks guys!

You wouldn't need to do much convertion's, and you could play them all year round!

Consider working more on the setting than the conversion. Insects in general are more scary in certain situations than in others.

For example, a swampy setting with tyranids is mostly just going to look cool/normal.

Something more along the lines of in your food is going to look much more creepy/scary. Consider making a tyranid army that looks like it's all coming out of hors d'oeuvres at some banquet. That could look quite scary if done right. Especially if you had to do some "eye spy" to locate the tyranid.

For this, shiny black bugs would look best. Nothing pretty, not should it look good, just creepy shiny black...
