Today (felt a bit boring) i wanted to build something out of my left over Tyranid parts.
I allways liked the FW Malanthrope and so i started to build something like that. My modeling skills aren´t that good but i like doing it^^
So i looked uo what parts i got over... not much :/
I took 2 Carnifex "backs" and 1 Carnifex head.
I did not have enough GS eather and so i took my heat glue gun and started building a body with the glue layer for layer

Then coverd it with a thin layer of GS... Now its drying and i will continue tomorrow.
This is the result so far (not that good but absouloutly cheap and fun^^):

Yes im planing to do that. Only things that might be a problem are the arms and the "chimney" things on its back.. dont how i can do it without looking stupid :S

Found some carnifex arms (deathspitters) which i could use for my Malanthrope and and worked on the upper body part:

A few more details i think and it will be fine for me.
Unfortunately the back things did not become very good and so i decided to create only four of them so far

They will be replaced later when i got more GS and a better modeling experience.
I hope u like it anyway^^ The last picture also shows the base i made for my Malanthrope. Only thing that is missing now is the IAA Rules for it but dont know if its worth to buy for 1 Datasheet... I own the IA4 Book and if the rules are nearly the same it would be such a waste of money

Man, I can't get over the job you did on those feeder tendrils. This is a nice take on that bulbous scavenger. Is your camera able to focus for close-ups? I'm having trouble making ou some of the smaller details you've got there.
