but, to topic. i havn't noticed this post before, or is it new?.

i like those alot. nice job. one pic seem thick but i think it's just the pic thats blurry, so i was wrong. the character looks extremly nice. just seem a tad thick on one foot(from side view) but that's no way a big problem as i know how hard yellow is to use!. great job!

Wow I really like your paint job. So said that you have Black Templars, any painted? I would like to see pics of them if you don't mind.

Yeah, that chaplain is like the most used one ever, I've seen it in so many painting competitions, but yours is really sweet. Also, I've been having some trouble getting NMM to look right, could you tell me what you do for yours?

Hah hah....you don't want my help with that...I suck at that technique ...you should ask Koran about that...he is better at it than i am .

@noob:I think the Captain I painted is really close to that quality (though not quite there). I'm not really satisfied with the way the yellow is turning out....I've got one tac squad 85% done and something just is not working...they seem too lemon yellow...So I'm going to try something else with the next squad I paint. I've got Lysander WIP so he will be painted to the best of My abilities. Also I've got one of the new Terminator Librarian models and the Masters of the Chapter box...So...I've got plenty of SM characters to impress you guys with..

slightly offtopic question:
do you just like the templar and fist shcemes or do you have an interest specifically in the sons of dorn?

Well, It started out with just trying out a new army (templars). I was getting a little bored with Nids and wanted some change. As I began reading about the templars..I got more and more interested in them and in the fluff behind them....eventually I traced the lineage back to the Imperial Fists....found out that they were one of the primary Chapters defending Terra during the Heresy.....Rogal Dorn was one of the most respected primarchs. Having never seen Imperial Fists done well, I gravitated toward having both chapters under my command...and that brings us to today...I'm making the Imperial Fists my Tournament Army for the 2008 Tournament scene....should be fun.

Hey Guys...just want to show some of my progress on Captain Lysander (picture quality is not the best):





I might go back and redo the right eye...it is a little uneven...The casting of the model is a tad screwy there....I might just leave it though (its a pain to paint eyes and it only looks bad from straight ahead). I need to finish the ropes on this part and touch up and highlight the armor plus I still have to paint the right and left arms and shield and the piece that goes on top of his armor...I'm probably going to add some forge world purity seals to give him a little more personality..heh....
