This is an attempt at making a triple tyrant list to take full advantage of their excellent profile as well as 9 pyrovores. I went with Kronos because of the Lurk biomorphology and because it provides the most utility for the units I'm taking.
Kronos
Patrol 1
- Winged Hive Tyrant: Reaper, AG, TS
- 3 Warriors: 1 Venom Cannon, 2 Deathspitters, 3 Dual Boneswords
- 3 Pyrovores
- 3 Pyrovores
- Exocrine
Patrol 2
- Hive Tyrant: HVC, Sword/Whip, The Dirgeheart of Kharis, Adaptive Biology
- 3 Warriors: 1 Venom Cannon, 2 Deathspitters, 3 Dual Boneswords
- 3 Pyrovores
- Deathleaper: Alien Cunning
Patrol 3
- Hive Tyrant: Shardgullet, Sword/Whip
- Neurothrope: Warlord, Synaptic Tendrils
- 3 Warriors: 1 Venom Cannon, 2 Deathspitters, 3 Dual Boneswords
- 3 Warriors: 1 Venom Cannon, 2 Deathspitters, 3 Dual Boneswords
- Maleceptor
- 3 Venomthropes
- 3 Tyrant Guard
- Tyrannocyte
2000 pts, 4 CP
The idea here is to always take 'Territorial Instincts' for the adaptive trait in order to make all the monsters Objective Secured and count as 5 models. Then for secondaries I take Stranglehold, Banners (or investigate signal?) and Warp Ritual/Interrogation. The two Walking Tyrants have the option of sticking together to hold an objective, or the Dirgeheart Tyrant can go on a solo mission to hold/steal an objective by removing objective secured from a unit and just being difficult to shift. The Deathleaper is also Objective secured and counts as 5 models so he too can steal objectives.
Ya it only has 4 CP, but the only CP sink in this army is the Reaper flyrant. The Tyrannocyte has the option to bring in 6 pyrovores or the Exocrine and is itself Obsec and counts as 5 models. The Pyrovores take full advantage of the +4" range on their guns, as do the 4 units of Warriors with Deathspitters. Symbiostorm is also a situationally strong power for the Pyrovores or Exocrine.
In the mirror match against double Malaceptor, Lurk provides a decent tool to handle the psychic phase in the form of Synaptic Ganglia (reroll deny). I'm not sure if it's better than Territorial Instincts though.
