I don't recall. I thought it was just in the tyranid codex under detachment benefits

There was no explicit FAQ that I can remember under Nids. Maybe Daemons, to deal with Daemon summoning back in 8th. But 9th made it pretty clear you dont get detachment benefits.

Anyway, since Crusher Stampede are "army" rules, RAW your spawned gaunts and spore mines actually get the benefits, because they become part of your army the moment they are summoned. All good.

If its casual then just walk them through it and roll a dice if they cant agree - its not a big deal. If this is part of your plan in a tournament, check with TO and judge.

It's not an FAQ, it's just in the core rulebook on page 246.

REINFORCEMENT UNITS
If a unit is ever added to a Battle-forged army during the battle, it is never considered to be part of a Detachment. This means that it never costs CPs to include them in your army but they will never benefit from any Detachment abilities.

But CS isnt s detatchment ability, it's an army wide buff...
So, that part about spawns not being attatched to a detatchment, that doesnt apply here.

I agree, just sceptical about RAI and wanted to check all corners.
