It is almost like a typo and isn't how I want to read this at all!

It surely should be:

You get 1 point when you kill any model (even 1 wound).

You then get +1 bonus at 3-5 wound models, +2 bonus for 6-9 wounds and +3 bonus for 10 wounds+

Going to have to be a pass...

No it doesn't. Most 'chaff' and most marines are 1 or 2 wounds. You have to remove 3 wound models to score a tally. So unless they're screening with terminators... it's not easy.

The more monsters, vehicles, and charecters that get played the more viable this becomes.
Broodlords could wrack up points hunting charecters and a group of walkrants escorted by tyrant gaurd could do this too...

The situational part is what the enemy brings.
whats the wound count on wracks?
Not sure what the metta is at this point so just another tool in the box, luckily dont you get to see the enemy army before picking secondaries?

It could be workable if it scaled from 1-3 per turn and/or was max 15. You could add synapse to a barbed or exocrine some tyrants and maybe warriors. It would still be only okay because you run the risk of coming up against an army which just doesn't fit then you've sort of wasted the adaptive physiology.

A very good point! Too bad we don't have a clear answer as to whether the Sporocyst deployment rules let it ignore the Fortification 3" restriction, so the tactic is TO dependent.
