Hey,
No paints today, only updates on my current projects:
1/ Finally got myself to base, do a black rim and magnetize all my old troops so they can finally stop accumulating dust !
Tried adding red herbs in the environment that give off heat on the mostly frozen planet of Celestus. Trying to discretly world build.
2/ Slowly advencing on my bulky, tanky, beetle-y swarmlord
3/ Progressing on my little currious battledamged biovariable warriors: The green part are 50/50 green stuff/milliput. I used blue stuff to create molds. In my opinion blue stuff isn't that great but for the price and the reusability it's a neat tool to have. It's very capricious in the way it works. Too little heat and you wont get any details but too much heat and the top part will melt the bottom mold. Then there's the difficulty of correctly aligning the two part press mold even with decently placed marks.
A very "battle damaged" warrior. Some piece were unsalvageable but other were meh so I still used them. There is no mistakes, only battledamage.
They are very fragile compared to plastic. Not only did I break the tongue of all of them, I broke this poor fellow's jaw. I was inspired by butterflies and those sharks. No need for straws anymore.
For this one I was inspired by mantis shrimps. I also wanted him to look very defensive. Top shields are for crushing, bottom ones for slicing.
"You're next"
When I have leftover greenstuff I use it with my rollmaker to make tentacles or cables.

4/ Recently bought nids from second hand before the codex leaked. Guess I got really lucky: 6 carnifexes, 3 warriors, 15 gaunts, 6rippers, 4 old raveners (v3 and v4) and 2 old zoanthropes (v3 and v4)
I'm planning to do a conversion for most of them.
Thank you for reading !
Edit:
Spoilers do be driving me mad. Doyou know that feeling when you write and read a word so much that the word becomes weird?
