Typical board set up: terrain and lanes

This poll refers to open space between terrain features that your army has access to to get from your deployment zone to the middle of the board.

Just wondering for the purpose of building a list designed to trap the enemy in thier own deployment zone most if not the whole game.

Open movement terrain would be terrain that most models can move through.

Here's the last board I played on (from memory) as an example. I feel it's important to have a good few choices for heading towards the mid-field. It gives a bit of obscuring cover for the back corners, usually has the objective markers near one of the ruins, but allows for infantry to walk through the ruin walls and for other units to go around the sides.

That particular map is quite open for what i had in mind but the center of the map with the sadbag barricades could serve as a good holding point for turn 3 and on...
