I made the unit sizes comparable in points and of relavant size.
14 stealers is in the same point catagory as a max ravener unit.
GS would have 56 atks compared to the raveners 45 atks but as soon as 5 wounds are lost across both units then GS have 27 and the raveners would have 40.
My synopses is that stealers have the potential to hit really hard for slightly more points while the raveners are going to be far tankier to mid-power or lower damage sources, but will suffer greatly to heavy firepower.
Honestly.... its been the same distinctive differense between the 2 units since atleast 5th ed. They havent really changed but the meta has. So the real question isnt "whats better" but rather "what guns are in your meta?"
Right now anti-elite is the main meta right? Or is it anti-tank?
Raveners also benefit from larger bases which makes it easier to get them all in combat. 14 stealers can be hard to squeeze into engagement range with the new limitations, more abundant terrain might be beneficial on the approach but risk screwing them over in melee if they can’t fit in the clearings.
