Tyrannocyte/Sporocyst, Zoanthrope/Venomthrope, Toxicrene/Maleceptor, guard/t-guard, exo/haruspex, harpy/crone, warriors, broodlord and tyrant/swarmlord one or two editions ago. And that is not a 'big release'. I do not know what to tell you man. That is just denial.
And the warrior kit is new, even if the model is the same. What do you think a new kit would warp the warrior into more of an elephant? That is not how that works. The warrior model looks awsome.
The only shame things that are bad for tyranids is that the carnifex and genestealer kits are a bit old. One of the GS often breaks (the one that leaps from a outgrowth) and the carnifex backplates looks a bit rough. But they still look good. If you want other genestealers buy spacehulk.
The flamer, and the spore mine launcher, as well as the lictors needsa a new kit.
All in all tyranid models are in a very good position in my opinion. GSC is in an exelent position. What I want are good rules to models I own, not more models.
Flyers, hive guard, exo/haruspex, warriors, and tyrant were all earlier than early 7th. Back in 4th - 6th, most factions got a trickle kit or two an edition, and that's how the Nids releases lined up. So no, there was no "big release", that's not denial.
It's now 6 years past all that... those kits we have in plastic are pretty good, I'm not asking for any overhauls there (Gaunts and Carnifexes are expensive enough already...) but I think it would be cool to get something new, and we should be near the front of the line for that.
