Is anyone else avoiding leaks for new nid books?

He is right though. We get scraps and lap it up like it's amazing. Just because it's better than before doesn't mean that this whole charade was handled even remotely correct. GWs adamant refusal to publish new datasheets for existing units is killing this edition. Stuff like the Toxicrene and Haruspex stratagems needed to be on their datasheets from day one, or at the very least fixed like 2.5 years ago.

At this point I am feeling like a third rate customer. I could deal with being second rate, but third rate is highly irritating at this point.

Anybody want to make a wager when we will get a new model, or how long it takes for use to get a plastic LoW?

I'm not saying others don't have it better, but I am saying wait to see how our new stuff plays before we make judgement.

Also we tend to see everything that's not us as being in the opposite site. That's not true. When a new SM codex comes with a million beauties for IH and IF and ravenguard, we think that all imperials got everything. Only they didn't. Dark angels are still (please do not swear). Grey knights are still (please do not swear). Wolves also. Blood Angels, Salamanders and Black Templars also got nowhere near the top treatment, and they ARE space marines. Ad Mech is still a golden mediocrity, and sisters are getting their new stuff now, after 20+ years of nothing.

Sometimes we Xenos think that just because IF and IH got strong supplements, suddenly everyone else other than use plays that particular armies. They don't. There's a lot of other miserable dudes out there too.

yikes.. so much rage over plastic toy soldiers. i'm terribly sorry you feel so strongly about nids getting shafted. i hope this anger won't stop you from sharing your mathematical and scientific proof that nids are trash though. it could really help the rest of us be woke like you and maybe break out of our stockholm syndrome.

Armies I've heard pissing and moaning about their lack of love in the past 3 months.

1. Eldar. Have you heard their cries after the first PA BOOK?
2. Harlequins. They literally got nothing whilst all their brethren got new rules/strategems/traits.
3. Necrons.
4. Grey Knights (for good cause).
5. Chaos Marines of all flavors.
6. Sisters
7. Tau (but looks like false rumors).
8. Imperial Guard.
9. Space Wolves.
10. pick your army.

By your definition only the top codex is being treated as first class. The problem with that viewpoint is that SM is the only top army right now but they have been garbage for most of 8th. So are they first rate or 3rd rate? It's cyclical. Remember this is a hobby. If you don't like it, move on to something else for a while. I've played mainly Bolt Action for the past few months and have been loving it. Now I'm excited to come back and give the updates a whirl. You're not? OK, fine; but it looks silly staying here and screaming on about it.

I'd glady trade with at least five of the factions you listed, but that's getting offtopic.

Id say it’s definitely going to be a while despite the original posts stating that each faction would get new models (I believe?)

I’ve been using pyrovores as biovores on the table just because I didn’t really like the biovore model, but now I’m thinking I may just have to bite the bullet and get some of the resin biovores.

As for the lord of war, something tells me GW think we’re probably happy with the FW offerings.

I was away on vacation and forgot to check in for like 4 days so all the leaks are totally new to me and Im trying to catch up. But there is so much discussion about them, Im probably just gonna wait and read it very thoroughly on release.

The leaks compilation 1st page is very thorough. Just look at that one. The discussion is all over the place and hard to follow.

BoB is basically a BA codex with a Tyranid attachment, and since I'm completely uninterested in non-Tyranid factions, no money from me. If GW gets something right and a unit turns out to be really good, I will buy more of those models, which GW should take as positive incentive connected to their rules writing.

The rules previews have prompted me to start work on my last two Tyranid unpainted units (Warriors & a Mawloc) that have sat in my to-do pile for over a year. That means I'll have them ready to use for my next game.
