What does hive tyrant repackaged and termagant brood mean??

Hey guys I was looking at the December release leak thing and I couldn’t help but notice hive tyrant repackaged and termagant brood what does that mean Are we getting more in one box will there be a new hive tyrant character or will it just be new box art and with they fix the split head with terms or will it just be new box arts thank you for your time....... also what can be expected in blood of bal set .

it's probably just updated packaging, they do this from time to time (like they did with most of the plastic CSM line a few years ago).

but who knows. it could be more gants to a box or w/e.

Probably just new box art and a price hike.

There’s a small chance they’ve reworked the spurs, more likely on the tyrant, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Have always wondered about this though. Can the argument be made now that you can just use standard the devourer model and say they’re the variant with brainleech worms? The title no longer says twin linked or anything of that nature so could you argue it’s just a different type of ammo?

Yes. You can say whatever you want, no one knows what our guns look like or do. There isn't any support for twin linked when it comes to actual bits, you can just use whatever aslong as it somewhat resembles what it should be. You can't get normal devourers on a flyrant so if you're using the MC devourer on a flyrant then it'll auto have brainleech worms.

What it COULD mean: New moulds for gants to get rid of that shoddy mould line. New-new bits for Tyrant.

What it PROBABLY means: 20% price hike for NEW box. Nothing new at all. (My bet)

What I WANT it to mean: No more Spread Eagle wings, all options, and rules for horns/tusks. Gants to have Spike Rifles removed from entry AND snap fit gun tips to swap.

Haha I’ve definitely found that. I’ve got a bunch of the twin linked ones from forge world either way, just would like to not have to buy any more.

That wild card is teasing me , that being said Im sure they would try sell us new units for that. Im sure you're right though in the sense that it will be 20% more and probably contain 2 less gants.

GW will remove the monstrous creatures weapon sprue and the devourers sprue from the packs and sell them on their own. Thus ensuring higher profits for the sale of hive tyrants and removing the bloated "spinefist and devourer" mountain issue that many a Tyranid player has.

Heck perhaps they are going to create a new "studio scheme" for the army - a new hive fleet!

We just need an update.

We were one of the first codexes out and now we are really up to date and we can't keep up with the actual top tiers if we don't take stuff from GSC.

I honestly hope in something good for the tyranids in the next few weeks, and not in another nerf, as every time there is a faq or an update we are nerfed a little bit.

No, we were a middle of the pack codex. They did an monthly release between most of the Imperial and Chaos factions (and eldar) before they got to us.

The sad truth is that GW has had a difficult time making the tyranids a functional codex since Andy Chambers left. We are such a foreign army that it's hard to get us right where we need to be in order for us to be balanced with the other factions. Think about it, we are a close combat army that can't use vehicles or mechanical movement aids (such as jump packs). How do we get into close combat? You could give us an insane movement, but then people don't get to shoot at use before we assault them. On the other hand if our movement is too small we'll get shot off the table before we can make it into close combat. And we aren't even going to get into how many attacks/weapons we have with our four arms...
