Do you guys think we will get some kind of synapse bonuses (psy not psy)?

Guard have had it for ages (orders), sisters had it fleshed out in the WD codex (faith / prayers), chaos got prayers, SM got litanies and eldar got at least updated exarch rules.

I'd say it's fairly accurate because a lot of the early stuff has been proven to be true long before there were any WC posts or other leaks. New Meph, Priming stick, paint holder and red handle. The skeletons migth be easy to hand wave away because they were already shown, everything else is new and fresh.

Considering we have access to untargetable synapse creatures, I’d be down for an increase in the negatives for being out of synapse in exchange for buffs within synapse. Something like we get marine style super-doctrine whilst in synapse but have to charge/shoot closest out of synapse

there aren't any untargetable synapse creatures. we have character synapse, sure. neurothropes will fold pretty quickly to eliminators, but primes, lol. not a good look there.

the whole synapse mechanic needs to change. it's better than it used to be with the increased range for instinctive behavior, but, damn man. we're still pretty much the only faction with an army wide debuff.

Doesn't sound like you should play Nids anymore, man. Synapse is a defining trait of Tyranids and it hasn't changed much in over a decade so...

And it hasn't been good in over a decade. Giga is right, and I've said it plenty of times too, we are the only army with a debuff for an army wide trait. Defining trait or not.

Should cancel original instinctive behavior and make it a stratagem that works similar to IB in apocalypse, by giving out to hit buff

synapse isn't the problem, it's instinctive behavior. synapse itself is a buff. instinctive behavior is a garbage tier rule, along with necrons phasing out. and it used to have a much more restrictive range.

It needs to be we get something for being in synapse and nothing bad happens when we are out of it. No, it is not fluffy and it kinda defeats the purpose of 'instinctive behavior', BUT that is how it should go.

Something that popped in my head that was entirely different way of thinking. We get different abilities depending if we are in synapse or not:
Melee unit is fighting in CC and is out of Synapse, get bonuses to wound, maybe the opposing unit has to re-roll passed morale or lose extra models when they fail. But something to show the frenzy of a bunch of crazy hormagaunts or a haruspex just going nuts. But while in synapse gets a re-roll failed hits or get extra attacks. Something to show they are attacking better and smarter.
Shooting with units out of synapse get a bonus for sitting in cover or shooting the closest thing. In synapse get re-roll hits again or can advance and shoot without penalty.

You get the idea. Something where you really have to decide do I want this unit in or out. Where there is a tactical different between the 2, not because if you aren't in synapse it hurts your unit's capabilities.
