That kind of list is designed to outlast the enemy, so anything that can disrupt the enemy army is good.

The biggest reason by far is the Cult of the Four-Armed Emperor's stratagem to cancel an enemy stratagem once per battle (GSC's version of Vect, we have nothing like that).

The rest of the detachment, in my opinion, is a toolset to cripple the enemy army synergy (sniper sanctus, kelermorph), some extra muscle (patriarch/flamer acos), and flexibility to spend reinforcement points on both Nids and GSC units (especially more GSC characters like Santus, Kelermorph or even Clamavus).

I've been looking at breaking my habit of monster heavy lists and trying my hand at a variation of the Gaunt Carpet.

Started with 120 Termagants + OOE and smite support from sprinkled Neurothropes. Added in the Sup Com GSC Patriarch / Magus / Iconward for GSC shenanigans and possible S9 Juiced Patriarch

I cut the 8 hive guard for more Gants and a suicide 8-9 man Meiotic spore rush T1.

A) I am running 2 Kraken Battalions, 1 Kronos Battalion, 1 GSC Sup Com. Is the mobility of Kraken greater than the added 6+++ FNP against all the new SM firepower?

I was thinking keep the Kraken Battalion (Broodlord, OOE, Meiotic Spores + Gants) and change the 2nd Battalion to Leviathan (Malanthrope, Neurothrope, Gants)? Kraken would run up and attempt to bad touch while Leviathan would octopus out to grab objectives?

B) Do you think Meiotics are worth the points for Scout rules + T1 exploding with Kraken Strat?

If youre at 2k points, how are you running 4 detatchments? I thought there was a 3 detatchment limit.

It's a "suggested" limit at 2k points that is up to the discretion of the event organizer.

No hard rule iirc

GSC are the most efficient models in the game for the most part, just fragile. They have to hit first

Can you run GSC, Tyranids and Imperial Guard (Brood Brothers) together in a list? I'm still catching up with all the Tyranid changes and I'm not quite sure how Brood Brothers works anymore.

Edit: Hold up. GSC can brood brother in Tempestus Scions? Holy hell that is amazing!
