This looks like solid output. That fusion coldstar looks like a dead landraider . I think you will get more out of Ion on the hammerheads, though the extra mortal wound mechanic with longstrike is dope. I think swapping an HQ for a second fireblade might help you get better coverage on those fire warriors who are going to do the anti infantry heavy lifting in your list and might be called on to finish vehicles. Would also get you another very accurate marker light.
Yes longstrike +1 wound tank ace then tau Sept focus fire I think its called add 1 to wound rolls. Effectively doing d3 mortal on a 4+ to wound. I think ion is better with the Sept tenet that lets you re roll dtype weapons. But you may very well be on to somthing just can't take longstrike with that sept. Also whic hq would you drop? They all have a place
If you look at my 2500 point list I just posted, my tanks will be taking Ion Cannons unless something changes between them and Rail Guns. 1 shot is just not enough, even if it synergizes a bit with the T'au Stratagem. For 3 CP, you want to maximize and because Longstrike can fire S8 with the Ion but already gets a native +1 against monsters and vehicles, he's already wound T7 or less on 2+ if the target is relevant, and those wounds stack up the 3 damage much faster than a d6+d3 damage.
I would also recommend a few subtle changes. The railfinders are not as efficent as ionfinders, but both are just as squishy. In addition, the Cadre Fireblade only boosts the shots of the MODELS within 6", so taking so many fire warriors with only one fireblade isn't as good as it could be.
The other thing I see is a disparity between units that shoot high T and units that shoot low T, there is no overlap. Your heavy units all kill high T, which can at least be mitigated somewhat with Smart Missile Systems on the units that can carry them. One SMS does cost the same as two Burst Cannons, but they get nearly double range, ignore cover and LOS.
I also see the Puretide Chip as the automatic first choice for relic, with the Thusters being worth paying a CP for if you want them.
