-3 to hit hemlocks confirmed (and other eldar stuff)

Eldar codex looks strong.

Some other changes worth noting:

12ppm DAs and rangers, cheaper dark reapers,
falcons 50 points down, jetbikes cut in half, swooping hawks 4 points cheaper AND assault 4 vs. rapid fire 2.

It’ll be a real pain dealing with those hemlocks.

Conceal only effects infantry/bikers.

You can actually achieve -3 using strategems now, on flyers and infantry with alaitoc, but only 1 unit at a time.

The funner option is conceal, -1 strategem, protect and fortune on Eldrad tanking in front of a heap of characters.

-2 to hit, 2++, 5+++, command re-roll on the save if you're feeling flush with CP.

-3 to hit in melee can be done with a relic, drain and -1 strategem too for autarchs.

Kronos would seriously hard counter my eldar list. I'm running 17 psykers at 2K. I played it against DE last night with a crucible of malediction but thankfully it completely whiffed.

I dunno if anyone has read the Eldar codex but it says that Hemlocks are only able to cast the 2nd half of any of the Runes of Battle Psyker powers. So it is not able to Conceal itself and other units, only Reveal.

Hemlock Wraithfighter Data Sheet page 108. It's the second blurb in the Psyker info box.

This model can attempt to manifest one psychic power in each friendly Psychic phase, and attempt to deny one psychic power in each enemy Psychic phase. It knows the Smite power and one psychic power from the Runes of
Battle discipline (pg 124).

Thanks. I hear that and looked but didn't see it. Must have overlooked the second paragraph. I saw the "knows one psychic power from Runes of Battle" and didn't read on I guess.

We covered this like 8 posts ago.

The way to get -3 now is Alaitoc, Hard to Hit and then Swiftness Strategem which is any Fly or Infantry unit for 2 CP.

Any one unit of infantry or bike can have Conceal instead of hard to hit.

An autarch can have the Shimmerplume relic instead of hard to hit.

In combat you can have Drain on the attacker in place of Conceal on the eldar unit.

Plenty of -3s if you really need it but only 1 unit at a time.

Alotic goes away when you enter 12". Doesn't work in melee. I honestly don't see any issue here.

It's not like AM shooting will struggle against a -2 on a couple of units. Especially a flyer, with their board swamping potential.

Pretty sure Tau have some anti-aircraft specialist weapons too.
