Tyranid Gaming Table - FINISHED PICS - PAGE 2

Have a big tournament coming up and me and a buddy are building a Nid Gaming table out of foam, hardboard bases, some recast Spore Chimneys and 3D printed terrain.

The table will use Frontline Gamings Grassy Plains mat. We are going to paint the Nids and Spires in the Hive Fleet Gorgon (loosely inspired) color scheme. The carapace will be bone colored and the fleshy bits will have green and pinks in them.

Of course it's detachable. Although, I will probably use that as the base for games. It's about the same size as my other Hierophant base. The idea was to have a WOW moment on the table, but not just lose the ability to play with that model. The old base of the Hierophant was terrible.

I am sacrificing the paint scheme to the new Gorgon one, but I'm ok with that. No one who plays Apoc here will care if it's Green, blue or black or whatever.

Updates: adding the texture to blend the towers and got some more paint on the bases. The plan is to add green flock to the bases (not hills) to blend in with the green color of the gaming mat.

Do you reckon Gorgon will be one of the Hive Fleets with rules then? So far I've never seen an official Gorgon scheme, mine are bonewhite with blue/teal carapace.

Yes, I do think that Gorgon will be a Hive Fleet.

Absolutely love it so far! Really stand out terrain. Did you 3D print the spires yourself?
Also the spires fluff wise are breaking up the planet. I'd love to see some cracks or chasms somewhere (or even just a bit of a blend between the colour used on the mat and the one on the spires (to signify taint spreading). Looks awesome mate!

a buddy of mine printed the majority of the spires. Good idea on the cracks. It's a little too late now, but I'll keep that in mind for future terrain. I have another 30 tables of terrain to help make for our event next fall.
