Firewarrior (sign up) - starting 1/1/08

hey guys,

due to my last role play becoming a bit too much for me time wise (way too much assessment) i've decided to GM a new one. follow the character creation rules and post your character up, the story will come when this starts

Joining: write up a character and post him/her/it in this thread before 21/11/07.

Character Creation: you can be a firewarrior of the shas'la rank from any tau sept world. i will consider other character requests if you can justify it.

Naming: when naming your character start with shas'la then your chosen name, you will be addressed informally by this chosen name.

Equipment: you can have just about any equipment available to a standard firewarrior however you can only ever have 1 heavy weapon + light equipment or 2 medium weapons + light equipment at any one time. You are equipped with standard issue tau firewarrior armour (or pathfinder armour if you like, this will give you bonuses on hiding/moving silently at the cost of armour value).

Rules:

1. all actions you wish to perform must be posted up on the role play thread, they will be worked out by me on a daily basis.

2. you may not refuse a ruling by me for an action you attempt to perform, you may ask why your action went as it did however.

3. your actions in a combat situation must be achievable in a short time frame.

Equipment: Pulse Carbine, katana (seriously, most fire warriors have these standard issue, they are really used, but do appear in teh game Fire Warrior as well, as i am from Vior'la i am more focused on combat, and am prone to use it more often, so it's a really decent one), 4 Photon Grenades, 2 EMP grenades, 4 pulse cartridges (ammo).

ok, seeing as I'll be lacking in RP's after fallen angel, here it is...
Shas'la Tash'var Pat
Armed with pathfinder armour, katana, two pulse carbines and photon grenades.
Hailing from the verdant areas of Tash'var, Pat is a stealth and jungle/forest fighting specialist. Having worked closely with the Kroot as a guide to them on his planet when he was younger, he knows their language and their rituals, and most importantly about the devouring of the dead.

Ok. So you're tau name will be along the lines of Shas'la T'au and then your personal name whatever you choose that to be.

Name: Shas'la Rio Y'or Vral Ukos

Equipment: Fire warrior armour, Pulse Carbine, photon grenades (4)

Background: Hails from the system of Rio Y'or which, although it's not actually a sept, the people there claim to be a sept. The planet capable of sustaining life is technichally still at war with the Imperium and is "Contested" on most Rouge trader maps. The main defence force was of Catachans who excelled at fighting in the rainforests covering most of the planet but not so on the plains around the equator and the poles. the war mostly consisted of mass Kauyon manouvers to lure the imperial troops out of the rainforest and onto the plains and large kroot incursions. The only Imperial troops there now are either living with the tau or have formed ad hoc geurilla units. Shas'la was noticeable in his squad because of his sheer bloody-mindedness which would have had him thrown out of any other millitary but as Fire caste initiation is hereditary, there was no alternative. He excelled at explosives which is why he doesn't have any.

what sept?

@ Pat - you can only have 2 medium weapons or 1 heavy weapon + 10 slots of light equipment (you can take a pulse pistol as this but it will take a slot + it's ammo)

the katana counts as a medium weapon and the pulse rifle/carbine counts as medium as well. the Rail Rifle couts as heavy.
