They really are and I don't think it's close. My models haven't hit the tabletop yet, so I don't know how they'll play (seem to be a really powerful really glassy cannon). The models are spectacular. Not only that, but they are master models in terms of how they build. They are intricate and detailed beyond anything I have seen put out by GW. The amount of dynamics they have worked into the models just surprises me. On top of that, everything is so easy to build. It seems like they thought of everything. It just fits/works. It easily could have been a nightmare to build, but it's not. Even down to the way things are attached to the sprue so you can clip them off easily and not have much, if any, clean up to do. And I don't know if anyone has seen the new clear bases, but they now have a ball instead of that tiny stem for attaching to the model. This should stop that breakage you always get those stems and it allows you to pose the model at any angle. I couldn't believe I was spending $32 for 2 bikes (my FLGS sells them at nearly 20% off MSRP) or one small transport, but these models are awesome. They are worth every penny. GW gets a lot of grief for a lot of things, but this is a home run. The quality is out of this world and is a big step up in quality and design. They are not resting on their laurels but continuing to improve. This will win out in the long run, GW, despite all the naysayers, is gonna be just fine business wise when they continue to put out such a great product. If you are a fan of Admech or Genestealer cults, you should be very excited.
