It'll definitely work.
Is that 3 TWC+Pack Leader for a total of 4? If so, I might shift the WG Battle Leader over to accompanying the Pack of 5, drop one TWC, and pick up one more GH with a proper Meltagun. Actually, if you then swap the BL to a basic Rune Priest, you could also pick up a Pack Leader with Meltabombs and a Combi-Melta for the Squad, or give them extra CCWs or something. The Wolf Claw on the TWC Pack Leader is also a nice but not necessary option, a place you could scrape up a few more Points.
What you've got is reasonably solid, tho, definitely usable.
How does progression through the league go? Do you have to keep all your previous Units, or is it wide open next round? Or somewhere in-between. Those restrictions might affect it too, don't want to take something at the start that'll cause issues later on.

Ahhhh my man! Nice one for the quick response!
So yeah, 4 TWC in total. Just stuck the extra one in as I thought I wise use of the spare points I had but yeah I like the extra melta idea as the TWC are already pretty buff.
As for rune priest, I wanna keep the bl purely because we have to keep everything we use for the next escalation level and I eventually want to runa list similar to the 1850 I put up before (it's 1750 total at the end). I wanted a cheap hq just to get me by the first few levels as will eventually get herald. I think it's better wasting 50pts here than keep upgrading a wolf Lord for a lesser herald. We can add to units and change wargear but models have to stay.
The units I have here are all part of the master plan so work. I basically worked my final list backwards to each point level but trying to iron out the finer details for each level

If you've got to keep this and just add on, yeah, that changes things.
A basic Rune Priest is actually cheaper than that Battle Leader as you've got him, and will be more useful later on when you can add upgrades.
But like I said, what you've got so far is pretty solid for 500 Points, should do you all right.

Codex not to hand right now but pretty sure it's allowable - if youw ant to get a bit tricky and add in some flexibility that people won't be expecting, fork out the 15 pts a model upgrade to a plasma pistol on the TWC. PP's are overpriced in most cases, but on the bast moving TWC it's an effective 24" range plasma shot each turn, something to work in if facing a tonne of MC's/harder targets/armour/TDA (Tactical Dreadnought Armour aka Terminator Armour...too many years of SW's and shorthand in 5th ed, TDA is just how I list TDA like quite a number of people online haha ). It's a flexibility option worth exploring at smaller points or larger and most players won't expect it.

So upon doing some chatting and browsing on bolter and chain, I saw this naughty little list and decided to enter it. It may come across mega cheese, but as I am new to 40k I donr consider it op. It lets me form the base for my army with all that I would want to include at later levels too without having extra bits in it that I do not want

Or something like this variant, which gets you two W2 dudes with 2+ Armour, at the cost of an even smaller overall Army Wolf Guard Battle Leader, TW, SS, TH 2xIron Priest, TW 3xTWC, SS, 2xMeltabombs

Not been here for a while...I tend to spend my time of at B&C.... (Forgive me, it is nothing personal!)
Looking for some advice on my current escalation..
So,my current list at 750pts is:
+++ Fb e TWC 2 (750pts) +++
++ Space Wolves: Codex (2014) (Company of the Great Wolf Detachment) ++
+ HQ +
Harald Deathwolf, Lord of the Wolfkin
+ Elites +
Servitors [Servitor]
Servitors [Servitor]
+ Troops +
Grey Hunters Drop Pod [Storm Bolter] 10x Grey Hunter [10x Bolt Pistol, 8x Bolter, Meltagun]
+ Fast Attack +
Fenrisian Wolves [5x Fenrisian Wolf]
Thunderwolf Cavalry [Thunderwolf Cavalry, Thunderwolf Cavalry, Thunderwolf Cavalry] Thunderwolf Cavalry [Wolf Claw] Thunderwolf Cavalry [Storm Shield] Thunderwolf Cavalry Pack Leader [Power Fist, Storm Shield]
So for the next 250 I have several options I have been thinking of...
1. Another unit of TWC 2. Vindicators 3. Terminators 4.murderfang and pod 5. Another squad with pod 6. Dakka dread and vindi 7. Couple of whirlwinds
I know that is a lot of options but was just hoping on opinions and reasons on what you would add and why?
Cheers guys!

Murderfang in a Pod is a whole lot of fun, and that leaves enough Points to add two more TWC to that pack. He also combos well with a bunch of TWC, since they're both usually going to be setting up for a Turn 2 Charge, putting a lot of pressure on.
If you go that route, at 1250, I'd add one more Pod, because it's better to have an odd number.
Are you looking to eventually bring in a StormWolf? Or do you want to just ignore Flyers and beat them by playing to the Mission? Since you're using the CotGW instead of a CAD, it's not as big of a deal, because you don't need to worry about trying to get a Troops Unit for it to make it OS, but it's still going to take up basically an entire Escalation.
Depending on your Meta, you may also want to look into picking up CCWs and/or a WGPL for those Grey Hunters. I'd give the Pack Leader a Combi-Melta and Meltabombs for that particular Pack. The CCWs are really nice to have against other aggressive Lists, because you can Pod right in their face and not be too worried about them Charging you, because 10 GH with CCW and Counter-Attack does a lot of damage, on top of significant Overwatch.
On the other hand, I wouldn't take Murderfang in a Pod if you don't want to later add a third pod. If you don't want to get that far into DropWolf territory, I'd double down on the TWC, try to get a ThunderLord or Battle Leader in there, along with either another Pack or a couple more dudes for that Pack.

Awesome mate cheers.
So currently I played against nids twice and dark eldar once at 500pts. The nid lists both had 2 flyers so could not do anything to them. I'm not too sure how I feel about AA yet.
Things for the future is most definitely a sicaran. This for me is 100% when we jump from 1000 to 1500. Love the models and love the rules.
I also really love the look and idea of terminators....however for the points I just feel that a unit of TWC would always be better? Although I love arjac so I am really tempted to bang in 5 with him. There is also a tourney at the end of April that rewards people for not duplicating units so this leans more towards the termites
As for flyers, I hate the look of the storm wolf but was contemplating a fire raptor, it looks pretty bad ass!

If you have Forge World available, the Fire Raptor and Sicaran are both awesome choices. Highly recommended. Note the FAQ on FW's site that lets the Fire Raptor swap the Heavy Bolter ball turrets for Autocannon. Lets the thing target 3 different Flyers with non-negligible amounts of firepower at once.
Terminators...The models are awesome. The fluff is awesome. Unfortunately, they're very hard to use effectively, because they're pretty badly overpriced. The only way I've gotten good use from them in ages was in the Void Claw Formation from CoF, and even then, it was only because I was running a Drop List, so I had a lot of Reserves and a bunch of other stuff DS in Turn 1 with them. I did run Arjac along with them, too, which was cool.

So taking everything in board, how about this??

+ Fast Attack +
Fenrisian Wolves [5x Fenrisian Wolf]
Thunderwolf Cavalry [Thunderwolf Cavalry, Thunderwolf Cavalry, Thunderwolf Cavalry, Thunderwolf Cavalry] Thunderwolf Cavalry [Storm Shield] Thunderwolf Cavalry Pack Leader [Power Fist]
Still feel I am lacking fire power but with the third pod, fang will be down turn 1!

That looks pretty good, and leaves you well set up for the expansion to 1250. Yeah, it's light on firepower, but you're getting a whole lot of threat right up in their face right off the bat, and you've got pretty good Objective holding capabilities, too.

What's best to do with fang? Drop him behind enemy lines, hide and then charge? Is he best going after elites, blob units or big guns?
And yeah I think 3 pods giving objective secured is a big plus. Idea is that is all that 5 man squad are there for
