I just noticed this on the GW site. Never seen it mentioned. Tyranids are getting a new box set? Looks like it now.

This multi-part plastic box set contains 25 miniatures: 1 Hive Tyrant, 1 Tervigon/Tyrannofex, 3 Tyranid Warriors and 20 Termagants. Also included are 12 Rippers allowing you to assemble 3 Ripper Swarms.

The set contains 1 x60mm Round Base, 1 Large Oval Base, 3 x 50mm Round Bases, 3 x 40mm Round Bases and 20 x 25mm Round Open Slotta Bases.

Rumour is, maybe Nids will get two new minis, with rules inside the box. It's a rumour so don't get our hopes up, they said maybe.

A little bit of correction of the Necron rumors: They will receive a codex, but it will be in January. There will be a major change to FoC in this codex. You will also see the release of the third "End Times" book in January as well.


Here was their previous rumor bit

The Rumor mill for our last codex has burned me, I'll wait and see. Though if they are from Forgeworld I can believe the rules will be epic.. if they're coming out of GW then 'meh'. We'll prolly have another under-performer like the Haruspex

Same here, I don't buy it, but I'd welcome a malefactor/dactylis kit. If true, then I think the only epic tyranid left to be rereleased would be the dominatrix...which we won't be getting soon. Still, I'll be waiting for the day it arrives.


Of course I'm also waiting for the day when GW finally gives up on naming tyranids.

Would love to see some new big bugs but I dont expect much. Remember way back before the new codex the rumors of a niddy transport? Would be cool if that was one of the big bugs released.

I certainly do hope there are some new bugs on the way that would be very cool. It would be even cooler if they released a bug that is not another slow CC monster.

If this is true (I refuse to get my hopes up) wouldn't it be more likely to include a kit that can be built into one of two models. Like the Exocrine/Haruspex box. Sure, rules for both would be provided but buyers would only get a a single new model.

While small releases are what GW are moving into for 40k (now that they can) I can totally see this happening.

But what the models could be...not too sure.
