So, I'm at an impasse here. I've reached that point many of us have where it would be a good idea to finish the miniatures I currently own before I get more. While this is obnoxious, as I'm only three gorilla-style Tyrant Guard, the Genestealers and Broodlord from Space Hulk, a Trygon, a handful of hormagaunts, and about two packs of gargoyles modded with 'stealer rending claws away from my large-scale army-list being totally done, it is much more responsible than growing an ever-expanding pile of plastic and fineturd resin.
However, one of the things I want to do with my Hive Fleet is this: make them really look like the threat they are in the fluff. To that end, I decided that having discarded/broken wargear, pieces of wrecked warmachines, severed limbs, corpses, and occasionally models in the process of being slain/devoured on the bases of my Nids was the way to go. I also decided that there should be representatives of every military force I intend to own models of, even if it's just a Kill Team or one of many 1,000 point allies lists I write for the two armies aside from Nids I have planned (chaos and loyalist marines).
So, to that end, if you have anything, broken, scraped, bent, or just spare bits, I can use it. I can also use the occasional whole model for a Monstrous creature base or have it being sliced apart.
This can work one of two ways. A) You consider what you have offal and just want to get rid of it to save space, in which case I'll happily pay postage for your miniature refuse through paypal. B) You like something I have and want to exchange it. What I have is a metric arseton of Mage Knights I no longer need or even really care about. Oh, and a classic Sorscha from Warmachine with her hammer broken. I still have the piece. The Mage Knights have a little bit of every fantasy archetype, but I have a ton of dragon mans and warmachine-style robots, along with assorted gribblies of every shape and size. Feel free to ask if you have a specific aesthetic you're looking for.
Here's a list of the stuff I'm trying to find. It will be shrunk as I collect what I need.
Loyalist Marines-serious need of heads, either Grey Knight or crusader style Black Templar, it's a Knightly chapter. I can use normal heads to represent neophytes though. Salamander or Alpha-legion pauldrons are excellent, the chapter is also dragon-themed. They're heavy on the Jump Packs, too, and bladed cc weapons.
Imp Guard-Death Korps of Krieg Aesthetic, aside from general stuff a smashed up heavy weapons post would be excellent.
Eldar-general stuff, wrecked war-walker
Tau-general stuff, asploded battlesuit
Admech-anything that looks Ad-mechy
Chaos Marines-wrecked dreadnought, heavy cc oriented, general stuff
Daemons-general stuff, nothing slaanesh
Dark Eldar-crashed jetbike, general stuff, no haemonculi or assorted creations thereof
Orks-Nobz, general stuff
Necrons-general stuff, triarch praetorians
