Thanks! Technically this is for the Impaler Cannon that the hive guard use, not the unit itself. I've made a note on the hive guard entry.
Two important notes that I feel might be taken as negatives if not elaborated:
1) All models that lost 1 attack, come with 2 sets of scytals, so they didn't *really* lose that attack, but will if you swap for shooting weapons.
2) Venomthropes grant shrouded to *models*, not units, within 6". What people forget is that Shrouded works on the whole unit if at least 1 model has it.
You're totally right, and they've also given us additiona tail attacks accessible by most MC's that lost an attack. The Carnifex also gets extra attacks on his charge due to the Hammer of Wrath change.
I've added a note about the shrouded rule.
Please note that Lash Whip and Bonesword melee weapon entry has a SINGLE profile that includes both Life Drain and Swiftstrike, therefore you get the benefit of BOTH weapons.

tfex can no longer swap out cluster spines/stinger salvo. in fact it may not take cluster spines at all.
neither can a tervigon.
