With the new apoc book out now the harridan is getting its 4th or 5th rules set now, and its become a flying gargantuan creature, with all the rules of a FMC plus some more
Good thing is its gained vector strike bad thing it can be grounded by a markerlight...

Thoughts?

Exactly the same as FMC from what I read.

not true, it follows the movement rules of a FMC but I think grounding tests are not part of the movement rules. Any thoughts

Last tine I read it (Thursday) FGC have the rules fire GC and FMC so normal grounding tests.

Should have built them without eyes like the Hive Guard.. Maybe next run we'll get "shades of the warp" which will require gluing aviators onto our FMC.

Oh god the cults are coming. Las guns for everyone! Genestealers have 0 BS should be fun to see how their rending hands hold guns. Going to be some cool conversions mind you but.. Tell you what let's just trade tech and dump MC. That Vendetta looks pretty good now. At least their pilots use high tech walmart "polarized" lenses. sure grounded is a downside but look at the upside:

vector strike with S10
still 2 x 6 S10 shots shooting at normal ballistic skill at other flyers, how many flyers do you know who can survive S10 shots
you also get a 5+ feel no pain in addition to any other save, ie if you are partially covered you get a 4+ cover save plus a 5+ feel no pain
I cant wait to see how my harridans do in the next apoc battle next week.
plus he is cheaper now not 900 points anymore he is only 735 points, the barbed hierodule has also gone down to 565.

Are there any other fgcs or do tyranids have the only one?

Based on what I saw when i leafed through the book, Tyranids are the only one with a flying gargantuan creature. And the rules for which it states follows the same as a flying monstrous creature with a few addendums. I forgot to check, but it's possible they also don't have the ability to jink, much like the super heavy flyers. However I could be wrong on that as I don't have the book in front of me.
