What do you think the new rules Tyranids will get?

I can honestly see a return of eternal warrior for units in synapse - I honestly think the warrior issue was an oversight on GW and the fact they became obsolete was an unintended and unforseen consequence of taking EW away and the advent of high S weapons.

That said, I can also see warriors losing synapse (aside from the prime) and the prime becoming an upgrade to the unit. There will be enough other synapse units with tervs, HT, Trygon primes, zoans and most likely, the addition of a new MC.

As far as carnifexes go, they need something to set them apart - their role was taken over by trygons and tervs. I can see them becoming more specialized in their role and getting some kind of special rule (maybe from the BRB) that allows them to stun units/vehicles they hit or cause some other effect, possibly pinning. It would be odd, but honestly diving for cover from a rampaging fex makes sense. I think there will be something to make them stand out, but their role will change and become more focused.

I agree with the general idea that lictors/stealers/carnifex will be improved to bring them up to par.

not sure. I want this too, but doubt that we'll end like this. Suppose, we'll have a lot of psykers (tyrants, broodlords, zoans, etc) but low-profiled, as opposed to single Librarian on the other side (and equally opposed to Eldar or Tzeenchites). Possibly access to Divination though, works fluff-wise, but not sure GW thinks in same way.

What we defenitely SHOULD think about, it's our personal schools of powers. Considering recent tendencies, there's gonna be at least one (and most likely 2). May be, Warp field will go back to being simple Psychic power, most likely one of the Primarises.

After Eldar got their "run'n'shot" cheat, and Slaaneshites - their run bonus, there's quite a possibility of us getting "run'n'charge" or similar upgrade of speed.

Considering our army is gonna be based about Deepstrikes and other smart stuff (wings, burrowers, infiltrators, spores, etc) we can get charge from reserves (like those marine vanguards, or howdotheycalltheseguys), but chances are slim.

Most likely I'd expected point cost reduce. Considering we're always were "zerg rush" army, it's just logical that we'll get an opportunity to run even MORE models on the table.
After all, GW needs to sell their stuff.

The mammount of smaller synapse cretures is little different from Warlock councils and Pink Horrors. I also said 'larger synapse creatures'. Not that Tyranid warriors and the sort do not have, nor did have, access psychic powers for example.

I don't think so. As was said, we have some wish listitng threads, or rumours of rules. What I was asking here is, from seeing from other 6th edition codecs what do you think might happen with Tyranids. I don't see no wish listing here or rumours here but just guess from what other 6th codexes got. I wanted to keep the wish listing and rumours seperate from what people might think may happen, if this makes any sense.

From using the 2 xenos codices currently available we can 'guess' at the following:
Either a better bonus for being within Synapse control and/or changes to instinctive behaviour to factor in the change to 6th edition.

A fairly common special rule that affects one of the core mechanics of the game; Tau have a nasty Overwatch trick, Eldar can move-shoot-run (or move-run-shoot) so its not hard to imagine 'Nids being able to move-run-assault as a pretty common effect for example.

We can 'hope' that there will be some sort of living ammunition rule, if only going by the Eldar ranged weapons upgrades across there arsenal.

A dedicated Hive Mind psychic spell list. Because GW will want to sell more Psyker models/cards/stuff if nothing else.

Don't think I've missed anything that we can 'guess' at so far, with the very little information available. After that, and as soon as people start mention specific rules/options for units (as opposed to guessing on an army wide scale using previous codices as a template with reasoning, etc) you start wishlisting unfortunately.
