Just made a thread for everybody that want's to scream out their happiness about that our new codex "soon"(i think it will will come after this summer, but who knows) will come out.

I just have that feeling, when the Daemon-, Tau- and Eldar Codex was released so close togheter i thought that it will be our turn soon.

.......wait.... so there's no affirmation? My hopes.....dreams.... dashed! It is exciting that they are powering through new dex's at a rate of 1 per month but there are still several other armies that need updates across a multitude of game platforms. So I suppose we need to question your definition of "soon." Next month? Doubtful. This year? maybe. Who knows... well "they" do.

True true, but you can allways hope and dream. Maybe I got a bit overexcited when i saw the "Wishlist" and the "What can we expect" threads.

I think we'll be in the next three. A lot of people are saying SMarines, then Orks/Tyranids.

My guess is early 2014.

And, for a new codex, I say unto the world, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Damn it will be good to be back in fashion for a month, get some new toys, hopefully see some old classics fixed, roll with a fresh vibe again.

I have a friend who is a manager of the GW store near me. He had some meeting about a week ago with all the DMs across the states. He wont tell me what they talked about, but he said that if I wanted to start another army before the new 'nid dex then "You've got a minute plus about 8."

I took that is saying about 9 months.

Now that would be just bitter sweet. Presuming Apocalypse reboot is July, then WFB/WH every other month, with a winter what-not month to throw off the schedule, most likely more Hobbit stuff, if rumors of Space Marines and Orks getting the slots ahead of us, that still only puts us eight months out. Not a full year. I'd much prefer to cozy up to the fire with a glass of warm bourbon to read my new codex in January '14 then have the missus telling me the lawn needs mowing, shrubs need trimming, car needs washing, and dog needs walking so why am I wasting daylight on that game again?!?!

Well this is lining up *potentially* pretty nicely. That gives me time to fully paint my entire tau army before they completely rework my main army and force me to assemble/paint a new hoard of gribbles to compliment what I already have painted and based...hopefully this shelf of dusty models next to my desk gets some love

Considering just a couple months ago the developers were talking about some "ideas for Tyranids" I doubt it will be anytime soon.

Huh? 1 minute is 60 seconds - if we add 8 to that we get 68.

If we take that as days then that's just over 2 months

If we take that as years then that's - - stupidly long but still possible (Dark Eldar probably got close)

Or if we take it in 68 weeks we get 17 months, just about a year and a half which I would think is most realistic.
