Tervigon troop choice question?

Hello Hive! I have another noob question for you. I'm assembling two Tervigons at the moment for my army. I'm going to have 2 termagant troops so I am allowed two tervigons as troop choices. My question is do I just use the Scything Talons as basic front arms and not count the points or the rerolls to hit? Thanks!

I actually recommend magnetizing so you can swap out for crushing claws. CC are actually pretty good this edition.

I was going to chop up the CC for TL Devourers, lol. I wish I could find a local place that has magnets in stock. I don't want to wait for them in the mail.

If I remember correctly, Hobbytown USA generally stocks some. Also if a local shop has a bits box, there will probably be some crushing claws in there. Our big beasties are just too expensive to not cover at least the basic options with magnetization unless money is not a restriction for you.

just sticky-tac the front arms on while you wait for you magnets. cheesy? sure. but it works and you'll be happy you waited to magnetize.

I like the crushing claws on my attacky tervigons, definately worth having them magnetized.

I noobed it up and stuck the crushing claws on my first tervigon model (too excited ) so now it always has them in a WSIWIG (what you see is what you get^) tournament situation.

I found some magnets at a local surplus store. I got one talon on. It droops a tiny bit but I don't think I could fit a bigger magnet in the shoulder socket. I'll do the head and belly in case I ever want to use a Tfex. Thanks for the tips guys! I appreciate it. ;D

Not all small disc magnets are created equal. They have an N rating. N42 is the lowest I recommend for minis. The higher the better. Just letting you know for future modeling if you find that these just aren't cutting it. I think the ones I am currently using are N52. Kinda pricey but the hold is worth it in my book.

Also be aware of how the attached piece wants to move. If it wants to spin such that the magnet will move like a tire.... then it will likely move regardless of the strength of the magnet. Try and attach things so that this does not happen, or try and use a pin or greenstuff to stop the spinning.

(If want I am saying isn't clear, let me know.... I get a feeling I didn't explain it well.)

You can use some green stuff, glue, or JBweld to create a roughened surface so that the magnets don't just slide against each other. It works well.

I too am adept in the ways of glue tac.

You can use spare Mawloc limbs from the Trygon/Mawloc kit to represent "Teeth and Claws."
