Ghost was surprised, not a bullet had come his way. Now there was something new. He turned, hands still raised in surrender. One of the guards eyed him nervously, before turning a gun on him, red dot on his forehead. He decided to play some mind games, despite not being the telepath. Lowering his hands to his sides, he took one step towards the guard.
"Stop! Do not move!" Ghost took another step, he just had to time his intangibility right. "One more step and I will decorate the wall with your brain!" Ghost defiantly took another step towards him, an evil look in his eyes. "That's it!" The gun flashed, Ghost became a ghost. The bullet passed straight threw his head, clanging into the wall behind him. He switched back, taking another step. A burst came this time, intangibility came again. Yet more bullet holes on the wall.
The other guards had turned there attention to him, another burst from the side, Ghost faded and returned with a new found fluency. A small headache grew in his head ad was quickly ignored. Now he was little over away from the guard, who started to shiver. The look in Ghosts eyes said, "run... Run now or I will kill you." The guard swore desperately, taking a step back. The warden turned his attention, "Just kill the (please do not swear)!" A spray of bullets came at him, hitting the bullet ridden wall. He hoped the others would do something as he began to taste blood.

As one, the men all dropped again, blood bursting from their nose as Mateus's psychic tortures rocked their minds. A lot of the guards didn't last, and passed out, or passed on. A few more resilient guards were left on their knees, noses bleeding and eyes bloodshot. Mateus was clawing at his own eyes at his point, sobbing uncontrollably.
Naturally, the warden recovered first. "Damn it!" He yelled pulling out his sidearm and firing a round at Mateus. This hit him in the shoulder and Mateus hit the deck, drawing shuddering breaths. "Alright....your next, glowstick!" E yelled, anger in his voic as he aimed the gun.

The scientist seemed unaffected by Mateus, but that hadn't stopped Eliseai from kicking him off of her when he was distracted by the interruption. She followed up on the scientist grabbing him from behind. She moved on pure instinct kicking his legs out from under him. He landed with an oomph and a thud as she took his rifle from him and blew a shot straight into his leg. He began to scream in agony and rage at her. Her eyes had glossed over into a rainbow color as the Warden fired on Mateus.
Suddenly, Mateus couldn't feel her thoughts, one emotion seemed to have taken it all over...a bloodthirsty rage. As he turned towards Sunny weapon aimed She lunged at him grabbing his hand. He fired in response but was too off center by that point. The shot bounced harmlessly off of the side of the wall.
The two struggled for a moment, a tangle of attacks and fighting. No one would have expected Eliseai to come out the victor, but her movements demonstrated training, poise, well beyond that of any 16 year old. Somehow, she was on his back and riding him straight to the floor where he landed face down with a crunch. She held his gun in her left hand and had it pressed to the back of his head. He began to beg for mercy.
Eliseai didn't hesitate, blood flew up onto her face and hands as she pulled the trigger. The Warden slumped over and she sat on him, in the most catatonic of states.
The scientist began to laugh from his place bleeding to death, "It finally worked." he said between gasping laughter as he bled out onto the floor.

The Geiger counter wailed like an electronic banshee as a short microwave burst through the guards off him, now the warden had his weapon off Mateus. Sunny got up, tried his best to focus on the guards who were recovering from the latest psychic onslaught. prioritizing those who were raising their weapons. Sunny had a crimson aura, the room aglow with ultra violet reflections - guard's radios crackling with the increased radiowaves. With stretched out hands let out tiny gamma ray spikes powering free neutrons with a wide range off effects from radiation burns to irradiated liquefying flesh seeping from every orifice. He couldn't distinguish between the Warden and Eliseai and left that to the best, he didn't want to hurt her.
Sunny's glow faded and the Geiger counter's lighter clicks indicating radiation levels were back to safer levels, he ran over to Mateus to see if he was still responsive. He try to face up to look like looking at Ghost, "Are you alright mate?" Sunny inquired as ghost wiped some blood off his chin which he. Now cradling the limp Mateus he saw one of the forms execute another.
The form that finally rose shifted a little so he assumed it to be Eliseai. feeling happy she's alive looking confused and afraid, Sunny croaked, "Where did you learn to do that?!"

Before Sunny let out his beam of radiation the banging on the door stopped as a high pitched screech emanated from the stalker in the midst of the guards. Through it 62 felt as one of the guards managed to put a round though its stomach. Before he could fire again however 62 pushed forth into his child's mind, taking full control and quickly tearing the guard to ribbons. With the threat dealt with the stalker sank onto all fours, its breath becoming labored.
As the guards moved forward to push their advantage the older stalker dropped from the same vent Mateus had dropped from, slashing at the closest guards then helping its brother climb into the vent to safety. Before it joined its wounder companion the stalker impaled two guards bodies (one on each claw) and with one insect like jump got back into the vent just before Sunny released his wave of radiation.
After that followed silence as 62 knelt, holding the stalker as if it was a newborn child as black blood dripped onto the floor under them. 62 felt every second of his child's pain, even after it had tried numerous times to push him from its mind to spare him the pain. Then with one final shrill breath the stalker grew still.
In the barracks a muffled, rage filled scream could be heard from out side the door, soon joined by three high pitched screeches as the Cerebrates joined in the morning of their sibling. After a few seconds of nothing a loud clang was heard from the air lock as it bulged inward, then again and again until a thick hand of claws punched the door, before retracting to resume its destruction with a deep throated roar.

Eliseai's vision returned slowly and she could see the blood covering her hands as the shook with adrenline and rage. She reached up feeling a smear on her face and brushed away the man's blood.
She heard Sunny talking to her and it took a moment for her to recognize what he was saying and the position she was in. Slowly she stood cracking her neck in a way that soothed her a little. She walked slowly over to Mateus and Sunny and knelt down next to them. She still hadn't managed to respond except to bite her lower lip.
The scientist was still gurgling with glee in the corner as his life ebbed away, "It worked...we did it. The training and all our effort worked." She turned away from Mateus knowing little of wound care and leveled the gun at the scientist her voice coming out like a knife, "Be silent before I end you. Where is a medical bay?" The scientist continued laughing, "Why would I tell you that? He is going to die...and best of all, it is likely you will be the one to deliver that fate...finally we weaponized one of you freaks and against your will!" the shot rang out as he slumped to the ground and Eliseai tossed the gun away now that it was out of ammo.
She moved to lift Mateus up away from Sunny. "We need to find a hospital bay immediately. Start using those blind senses of yours. I want a lab and I want it now." She moved towards 62, "Hey, Claws and Paws I can't keep carrying him. Tell one of yourselves to take him on board." She set him down assuming the creature would agree and turned towards Ghost.
"Good job Spook. You feeling okay? We all need a hospital..and a plan...but a hospital for psychic creepo first." She moved around the bodies selecting rifles and food and tossing them at people, "Here take these..." she said as she sent a rifle flying in Sunny's direction while picking her own up. She turned rifle in hand walking back into the area with the failed experiments. She kept moving looking for one with healing powers. "Can any of you heal? Or do any of you want to be put out of your misery...raise your hands now for either."

He was sorta scared now, this was a completely different person to the one kept in 133. A rifle hit Sunny in the chest, winding him slightly before the weapon bounced to the ground. While picking it up he said, with a barley noticeable nervous tremble in his voice, "I could be able to hear into him, see if there was any amount of damage like an ultrasound. If there is, now I can focus radiation, I could probably thermally cauterize any major bleeding." Slinging the rifle over his shoulder he put his hand on Mateus' shoulder. "His subclavian artery hasn't been damaged so he's not bleeding out any time soon. Nothing, from what I can tell, has gotten into the plural spaces so his breathing should be okay. His scapular was split by the bullet, expected soft tissue damage too. I can stop what external bleeding there is. Make a sling for me with this." Sunny took off his shirt and handed it vaguely in Eliseai's general direction.
He then put hid finger on the wound "Don't think dirty, think hot. The Geiger counter loudened with a bit of static "No, com on, hot!" The counter faded and 2 seconds later smoke rose from the wound with a sickening hiss. "That should do it."
He took out the Cinnamon & brown sugar toaster pastry from the rations and took a bit with one hand and put his hand against the wall. He let off a shot into the ventilation system. He concentrated so hard on every minute sound. The echo gave him a rough idea of the shape of the complex and where they were in it. Right now they were on the outside of one of 6 'petals' that made up the top of a mushroomoid shape. The centre of these petals there was hole with cables that ran up to a structure he couldn't make out through the interference of currents. "There are are lifts in the middle of the facility, they might lead up to the surface, I can't be sure. we just need to go that direction," he pointed obviously how the crow flies as he pointed directly into the corner of the room. His concentration broke and his 'sight' returned to a fuzzy map of the immediate area.
"There might be a way out after all." Suddenly he keeled over with nausea, his hands began to shake again. It had been 12 hours since he had recovered from any opiate sedatives now, the withdrawal was getting hard to fight back.

The seven foot of mussel smashed its way through the air lock fists raised ready to attack, but soon dropped them as it saw the guards where now little more that piles of irradiated goo. So instead it made its self content watching the group lick its wounds.
62 was carrying the body of his child into the barracks as Eliseai walked up to him, and he let out a sharp barking noise as she told him what to do, but he still left the living stalker and one of the Twins to look after Ghost. Walking into the barracks 62 ignored the group and instead of talking set his child down in the center of the room. Standing and staring at the body the other twin that had been sitting on his shoulder jumped to the gown and scurried off to a small Cabinet on one of the far walls.
In the time it took it to rummage through them and bring back to 62 what he needed he simply stood there, staring at the place his child would be if he could see it. When the twin scuttle back to him it dumped a blanket next to 62 before running over to Sunny. While it did 62 draped the blanket over the stalkers now still body and rested a hand upon its head, letting out a long sigh as he crouched over its body. _______ As the Twin reached Sunny it gestured to the dead stalker and lifted up a lighter in one hand, and lit the flame. "We might be able to help, if you help first." it said its eyes never leaving his. _______ In the corridor outside where Ghost lay, the stalker prowled the corridor while the Twin sat on Ghost's chest. It stared at his face intently before saying in a raspy voice "Do you need carrying, Shadow-Walker?"

Ghost had slumped to the floor against the wall, when he saw the cerabite his eyes widened slightly, telling surprise, before drooping back down to half empty. He wiped the corner of his mouth, languished with his own blood. The headache was still there but the bleeding had faded. He drew in a deep, unstable breath, getting to his feet. Gazing over to the others he took a few bold steps towards them, looking like a zombie. A few steps later he was at the bars, staring in on an empty cell. At least he thought it was, until a man appeared before his eyes, an inch or so shorter than him, pale blue eyes, greying hair. "Good evening Ghost.... or is it morning? I forget in this place." He smirked charismatically, Ghost only stared back blankly. "Go on... speak, I know you can... After all, it's polite..." He kept smirking, 72 seemed peeved, how did the man know who he was. "Anyway a hand would be nice," he revealed his neck, bound by a collar, almost identical to his own previous tormentor. "Grab it.." Ghost obliged, reaching through the bars. "So I can slip out of this thing." Then he took a few steps back , the collar came through his neck like it was made of nothing. "Thank you my friend, see you later." He waved, vanishing from sight, like sand in the wind. Now all Ghost had left was his metallic collar. What had he just seen? Or not seen.... He turned the collar in his hands, labelled "73".
Ghost walked over to the others, steadier this time, but a confused, anxious look in his eyes. He crouched down to Mateus level, giving him a close look in his eyes, he looked in pain. 72 hadn't been shot before, atleast not in the conventional sense. He took a look at the corpse of the stalker. He knew death, but didn't understand the ceribites feelings...

Eliseai had reached the end of the subject line, and she looked in at the door labeled changelings. Her face became icy and hard as she opened the only concealed compartment and walked inside.
Inside, a pool of rainbow liquid sat in the middle, every now and then an electric current ran through it, and tendrils of the goo seemed to lash out in no particular way. Eliseai stared painfully at it all. Slowly, she stepped forward and switched the current off. A form slowly gathered itself together and a mouth formed on it as two other barely human forms appeared. "You are subject 1337...you are the one who survived or so they whisper..." She nodded tears falling from her face as she stepped forward and reached out to touch the goo. "Yes, I am Eliseai..." The goo and her met for a moment as they continued to speak.
Eliseai nodded quietly at the words she could feel from them. They wanted release...this wasn't life-- already, their separate minds had begun to pool together until none knew their own selfs. Only one wished to remain...Eliseai reached out as that pile of goo extracted itself and glombed onto her form. It gurgled and slid until it had covered her. Only then did she turn the current up. The barely audible screams as the remaining test subjects in the pool thrashed and burned to death would remain with her forever.
Only when the rainbow goo there stopped moving did she allow the life form she'd saved to slither off of her onto the ground. "Now what?"Eliseai asked quietly. She touched it again as the two exchanged thoughts. When Eliseai finally stepped back out of the room the goo was molded onto her form, and her own changeling abilities masked it.
She returned to take stock of the situation. 62 was mourning, Mateus's wound had been caterized, and Sunny looked poor. She moved towards Sunny kneeling , "You need to rest, we all do..." actually, she felt better than ever before, she could hear the other subject in her mind, he was male she could discern that much. She held out a hand to Sunny and when he took it, it was strangely oily and warm. She pulled him up and nodded at the others, "We'll feel better if we find a place to hole up and rest."

Sunny followed the small figure's request. He placed his hands on the sickening corpse. He tried to make it as fast and clean as possible - he knew that present company respected it enough. He tried his best to contain a very short and small blast of electromagnetic radiation across all spectrums, his hands glowed hot and arcs of plasma ionsed the ambient air. All that was left of the stalker was a fine ash and its silhouette on the ground.
He cringed again as a reeled back. Sunny every now and again looked over his shoulder. He was getting startled by the more sudden sounds that helped him 'see' his way around. He wriggled hi fingers and toed to relieve the cramps. He seemed to have a relentless itch on the back of his neck and his breathing seemed to speed up for no reason.
"You need to rest, we all do..."
Eliseai's voice cut through and snapped him back to reality. He stood and and regained his composure. He wasn't sure if he could trust who she was anymore, but the coo of her voiced made it seem she was back to herself. "We'll feel better if we find a place to hole up and rest." "I hear a larger room full of racks, probably a storage area about 10m away from these baracks. They should have food and such. I can weld ourselves in, make sure it looks ike the damage was from the outside".
After Sunny had blasted the outside of the steel door to scorch it, he melted the door handle in place. "I'm sure we can get out, not like this is any stronger than those soldiers." Weary faces begged him to turn off the lights. As he did so the dark dispersed with the faint blue low, now visible in the dark and brighter now his top was Mateus' sling and nothing obstructed the light. Sunny gave an uneasy, apologetic grin.
As whispers over who was going to keep watch first arose, sunny grabbed one of the remaining ration boxes, sat in the corner alone and finished what he had in his pocket. He grabbed a blanket to cover his shivering, shirtless body. He found some detox pills of all things and prayed they'll make this easier, withdrawal can last as short as 48 hours after last dosage - just 36 more to go. That night he wouldn't sleep well, he convulsed in a cold sweat in an acathisia ridden sleep.

62 gave a brief nod of thanks to Sunny before plodding off to a corner soon followed by his children, where they huddled together the stalker giving an odd chitter every now and again. When Sunny talked about the storage room and started to walk off 62 followed a few meters behind the group until they entered the room.
When Sunny sealed the door the Brute lowed its self back to the door, adding its weight to the welding as the stalker jumped onto the top of a set of shelves and settled down watching the group. One of the twins followed and took watch as well, leaving the last twin to 62 who sat back to a wall near Sunny. After giving him a glance to see if he was asleep 62 and began to examine a growing lump on his palm, which twitched every now and again.
He sat like this for almost 20 minutes after which he covered the now round ball with both his hand and sat staring into space, one of the twins laying in his lap, while the other and the stalker played among the shelves. Not for the first time 62 craved sleep as it itched at the back of his mind but he hadn't been able to since the early stages of his alteration, as the scientists had found multiple consciousnesses tied to one person reduced their stamina greatly.
With a weary sigh 62 got the twin in his lap to glance at Sunny before returned to his idling, divulging himself in his children's emotions and at the same time tried to teach the brute about the limited world 62 knew about. And like this he stayed until Sunny stated to stir, as 62 intended to stay true to his word.

Eliseai had finally calmed completely from her state of intensity from before. She moved about the space checking on everyone. First she made certain Mateus was comfortable. She achieved this by cracking open every container until she'd managed to find several pillows and blankets. With some small amount of effort she managed to create a comfortable nest for him. With that done she spent a little time coaxing water and food into Mateus.
When she finished that task she glanced at 62. He and his seemed to be calming down fairly well. She turned to Ghost and handed him a pillow and blanket. Then she turned to look at Sunny and grimaced. That withdrawl thing, he was going through it. She spent several moments trying to tear a strip off a blanket and began to feel frustrated. Somehow it dawned on her to form her hand into a claw. Slowly, she lifted her hand and it warped into rainbow goo and then reformed into a very sharp claw which sliced the blanket like it was frayed thread. She grinned at this newfound strength and dumped cold water onto the bit of blanket and walked over to Sunny whiping his face. "Here now...hold still. You are going to get through this." She handed him a pillow and a blanket and watched as he made himself comfortable.
Finally, with no blankets left she began to tend to herself. She sat against the wall near Sunny dousing his rag with new cold water every time it crossed her mind to. She drank some herself but the flavor was strangely lost on her. When she ate the food didn't really seem all that flavorful. She could hear the thoughts of the other shifter. "Can you be silent so I can sleep." she muttered to the other mind. She didn't sleep at all, her mind kept going over the combat prowess she'd displayed and the scientists words just wouldn't stop echoing.

8 hours had passed and Sunny stirred again, his eyes flickered open. He felt like the devil's sick of sin at this point, dark circles around his milky white eyes make him look like a corpse. He peeled off the wet cloth off his forhead and keeled over again, trying his best not to throw up. He grabbed the box of pills again and ran his h thumb over the Braille on label, "Buprenorphine Assisted Detoxification Pills". He popped a couple more and whispered, "They have to have shirts in here" .listened around for any of the boxes there containing soft fabrics. He ripped one open, where he fumbled with on f the items and just found more blankets. He tore another one, where he found packed trousers. The third he came hoodies. He laid it across the ground to feel its shape, make sure what he found was what he thought it was. He slipped it on and stumbled back to where he was sleeping, trying to keep radiation of light's wavelength down, particle radiation and his breathing down so the light, or the sound of the Gieger counter or his breathing wake anyone.
He sat between Prometheus and Eliseai, who now flanked his alcove in the corner. He rested his head against the soothing concrete, only then did he hear the drilling from the door...

Eliseai continued to sit and suddenly she heard the voice of the other changeling. "You know...I could show you what you don't want to see...the things your mind has put away because you couldn't handle them." She twitched visibly at this "What do you mean?"
She opened her eyes and she was floating in a light blue liquid. Tubes ran into her body from somewhere outside. She looked down at her body still untouched by puberty. She looked to the left and right to see a stream of people moving and shifting dials. Then she felt it, a strange tingling along her skin that grew into a ridiculous burning and shocking sensation that forced her body to writhe. She knew it was the scientists that were causing this and she tried to scream but she found that it forced her to inhale this strange liquid.
Eventually the pain blackened her vision and when she could see again she was sitting in a room in a white gown. A man walked in dressed in a strange latex like armor. "1337" she turned to look at him her rainbow eyes filled with distaste. "You have been refusing to carry out their orders. Why?" She sat silently, a small girl filled with more rage and fire than most adults. A sullen look on her face betrayed no answer. The man strode forward grabbing for her hair and lifting her up to face him. "Why do you refuse to kill the targets?" She howled in pain at him and began to beg to be put down. He laughed dropping her again, "Why won't you kill them 1337?" Her hand lifted signing in a complicated language. *They have done nothing to me. I don't want to play weapon anymore. I want to learn to speak and sing, and be. I want to play.*
The two began to fight, not shouting or yelling, but more of a dual between student and master. The combat prowess displayed before wasn't as honed. The man met her savage assault with tact and poise. Yet still, it was clear to Eliseai that they had been much closer to equals then than he would have liked. Eventually, she was on the ground, bloody and beaten. He had asked her again to complete the missions. The sound of her defiance screeched through her ears.
Next to Sunny, Eliseai began to spasm fairly uncontrollably a seizure taking over. The changeling that had been on her separated at that moment spasming beside her and beginning to decay.
