~No cover saves against Vector Strikes and the wounds are randomly distributed.
~Rending hits on Vehicles is no longer AP2 - This helps keep Genestealers from exploding vehicles so easily
Q: If a unit has the Fearless special rule applied to them while they
have Gone to Ground, are the effects of Go to Ground immediately
cancelled (for example, if this were to occur at the start of their turn
could those units then move, shoot etc. as normal in the appropriate
phases?) (p35)
A: Yes
~This sounds like if you have a unit that's gone to ground (like infiltrating Genestealers) and then at the start of your turn, you use Dominion to boost Synapse to 18", they can then move and assault just like normal. That's pretty awesome.
~Wounds can't be allocated to models outside of a Weapon's Range.
Q: Do models in a multiple Toughness value unit who are involved
in a Challenge still use the majority Toughness of their unit? (p64)
A: No, they use their own Toughness value.
This is bad for the Swarmstar if the Swarmlord or Prime get's pulled into a challenge. That leaves somebody fighting at their own Toughness. Still not a game breaker
Q: Blessings are manifested ‘at the start of the Psyker’s Movement
phase’ – does this mean they happen simultaneously with Reserves
rolls, Outflanking rolls etc and if so which is resolved first? (p68)
A: They do occur simultaneously – as such, the player whose
turn it is decides in what order these things occur as per
page 9 of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.
This is HUGE... now that outflanking Tervigon can cast Iron Arm/Endurance on himself when arriving from reserves. Of course so can you're enemy Librarian coming in from a Drop Pod cast his powers too.
I just went back and re-read the FAQ. It doesn't say you can move before casting Blessings, so sadly my initial response was wrong. It just says you can choose the order of things. That means, that you can know what units are coming in, before casting blessings, but you still have to cast them before your Reserves arrive.
Boo Hiss, sorry to get anyone's (including my own) hopes up!
