I'd cut a lot of the upgrades on the monstrous creatures, and maybe reconsider heavy venoms on the carnifex and hive tyrant. With the flyrant it could easily penetrate vehicles with its S9 gun, but can't actually destroy non open topped armour. If you don't want to put devourers on him, I'd probably just give him a LW&BS, count the wings as scything talons, then use him to trash vehicles in combat- and backfield shooting units.
Since the first unit of warriors are 40 points per model anyway, I'd just swap their upgrades for twin boneswords. With the second unit I'd get rid of the toxin sacs and give them a barbed strangler instead. Then they could be a reasonably inexpensive large blast platform and possibly just sit back and hold objectives on your side of the table
For me, everything is just a bit heavy on upgrades. If you were brutal enough in removing upgrades you could put another unit down without losing any of the models you're currently fielding. If you cut the regen from all of the MC's and removed the toxin sacs from everything (except the tervigon) you could pretty much take your pic with what unit to add. Another monstrous creature, some zoanthropes or hive guard, lots of extra gaunts etc. The good thing is you've maxed out on troop choices so objectives won't be an issue, and three monstrous creatures isn't bad for 1500 points. If I were you I'd consider what unit you'd really like to add, then start trimming upgrades until you can afford to field it. Good luck with the tournament!

I'd say to drop one of the Warrior squads to pay for the HG or Zoans, both have good ways of surviving (T6 for HG, 3++ save for Zoan) and you'll find that Warriors drop way too easily with so many easily accessible S8+ ranged weapons out there now.
I suggest you take Stinger Salvo on your Tervigon rather than Cluster Spines, against Marine or other elite-ish armies you'll find it works a bit better overall and you can use it to Overwatch too.
Don't forget you don't need Toxin Sacs on your Termagaunts as they'll get it from the Tervigon if they were within 6" of each other before charging in / being charged.
Doing those quick changes I'd say try a list like:
HQ Flyrant w/ 2x Twin Linked Brainleech Devourers
ELITE Hive Guard x2 Zoanthrope x2 (consider taking 2 squads of HG, one of HG and Zoans, or two squads of Zoans. That really depends on your army list, I personally do a squad of 2 of each)
TROOPS Genestealers x8 w/ TS - Broodlord w/ ScyTals H.Gaunts w/ TS x20 Gaunt x20 Tervigon w/ ScyTals, Stinger Salvo, AG, TS, 3 Powers Warriors x4 w/ Deathspitter, ScyTals
HEAVY Carnifex w/ HVC and Twin Linked Brainleech Devourers (I'd say either build shooty or melee, you'll have a hard time dividing your points up on an already overpriced model. Regen might be handy so take it if you like it)
Total: 1496

Never got to the tournament at all, real life stuff got in the way. Now, before I begin, I just want to say thanks for the advice and also, my Flyrant was already assembled with the HVC and the Carni is from back in 2000 when I played then, is already built with the VC and talons. Will keep them that way for now. Aside from that, I spent a deal of time coming up with 3 lists using AB, each at 1500pts for the next tournament...so here we go. Hive Tyrant- wings, HVC, Regen.....300pts Hive Guard (2)......100pts Warriors (4)- 3x Deathspitter, 1 Barbed Strangler, Talons on all.....145pts Warriors (3)- Boneswords, Talons, Toxin Sacs.....135pts H. Gaunts (20)- toxin Sacs.....160pts Tervigon (1)- Toxin Sacs, Talons.....205pts T. Gaunts (15).....75pts Genestealers- (6) w/ Brood Lord- toxin sacs.....165pts Carnifex (1)- HVC, Frag Spines, Regen, Talons.....215pts 1500pts on the dot. Option 2 = 1500pts Replace Warriors with boneswords- add 2 Zoanthropes = 120pts Increase H. Gaunts to 18 Option 3 = 1495pts Replace Warriors with boneswords- add heavy support of 2 Biovores = 90pts Add Toxin Sacs to Flyrant Add Implant Attack to Tervigon Again, some constructive criticism would be appreciated. Once I get a chance to try out all 3 lists I will make my choice on making my current Carni into a uberfex or just pick up the kit and go from there. Please....be gentle Thanks all, Doug

i am not a fan of warriors, at all. if anyone in your area plays with missile launchers (much less leman russ w/ battle cannon, manticores, etc), they're a large waste of points unsupported.
carnifex is a bit overcosted but can be made to work with X2 BL devourers. HVC is pretty much garbage; one shot per round and very difficult to destroy anything other than infantry (who will cover/armor/FNP/LoS it).
i'm not a fan of hormagants, outside of being supported by swarmlord maybe. your mileage may vary.
genestealer broodlord assault; eh, maybe but you've only got one.
flyrant with HVC is bad, for same reason your fex is outfitted bad. X2 TL BL devourer. they're great in h2h and are our only consistent anti-flyer unit. i prefer to run my flyrants in pairs; it comes in handy vs. double/triple drake or IG flyer lists.
long story short; if you are going to a tournement expect SW, IG, GK, DA, and necrons in abundance, all of which have a lot of S6 and S8 firepower to put the hurt on this list. needs more tervigon, HG, zoanthrope, ygrmls, etc.
note: i had somehow gotten the EW from iron arm swapped over to endurance. endurance will not help warriors or other T4 multiwounders from being ID'd by S8. keep them in cover and choose your targets wisely.

i would replace the flyrant with a tyranid prime with lashwhip and bonesword (maybe even two) in a 1500 points a flyrant is just to points heavy to bring

i find it's excellent to bring two of them in low points games. they're lethal and generally more difficult to deal with because the opponent doesn't have room for all the bells and whistles.
edited because i sounded even more like an (please do not swear) than normal.

Would a normal hive tyrant be points worthy? I do still have the tyrant from back in 2000, it only has talons on it right now, no shooty weapons. Thanks for the info so far guys

armored shell walkers with tguard are pricey but pretty tough. however you have to walk it across the board while you have a 2+ save, you loose hard to hit and can be assaulted/tarpitted.

Hmm...good point. Been looking at some of the pics in the Conversion/Terrain thread on Warrior Primes. Some interesting ideas for sure...

Tervigon (HQ) - talons, toxin sacs, catalyst, onslaught....205pts Warrior Prime (HQ) - talons, deathspitter.....85pts Hive Guard (2)......100pts Zoantrhopes (2)....120pts Warriors (4)- 3x Deathspitter, 1 Barbed Strangler, Talons on all.....145pts H. Gaunts (20)- toxin Sacs.....160pts Tervigon (1)- Toxin Sacs, Talons.....205pts T. Gaunts (18).....90pts Genestealers- (6) w/ Brood Lord- toxin sacs.....165pts Carnifex (1)- HVC, Frag Spines, Regen, Talons.....215pts 1490pts. I totally forgot that you can take a Tervigon as an HQ choice. Warrior Primes do sound awesome to have, so I added one in there as well. To me, I think having another Tervigon as an HQ choice is good as it can spawn more gaunts and the Prime with the deathspitter will work with the warriors in adding some extra shooting. I am going to try out a list this weekend, maybe my first one as I already have most of the mini's for it, but hell, may try this one here instead. What do you guys think of this one? As always, your advice is greatly appreciated Doug

HVC is bad for 11 reasons, which are the other 11 shots you get when you put on X2 TL BL devourers.
