when i play warhammer i remove my hat and sweatshirt and empty my pockets. Slam a redbull and move some gaunts. you might wanna start playing another army if you can't handle the model count. Instead of making lists practice moving gaunts and setting up your psychic powers. Nids are very powerful but if you do not complete games no one wins.

it's tough moving 120 gaunts and 120 hormoguant in apoc games but you got to do what you got to do!

I like to use a pre-cut piece of plastic that has sides of 6,4, 2, and 5 inches. Its much easier to wield than a tape measure and allows you to check both coherency and 6" moves at the same time.

In casual games a lot of folks just move the front line 6 inches and then move everything else up accordingly to maintain their previous formation.

Also, in casual games I have seen folks indicate where they are going with the unit, and then roll the run with the move at the same time. Saves from having to move things like Hormagaunts and Termagaunts twice. Important to indicate where your going, or you could technically cheat by knowing how much of a run distance you're getting.

Or you could get a flexible wire mesh (or those drink-can plastic rings reinforced with something) and attach magnets to it every 2" to maximize spread (against blast markers) while allowing it to remain flexible enough to move over terrain.
