Its been 19 days since the infection began. Your Hiding place has been sucessful so far, but your running out of food. Your going to die if you cant find some.
The Marines corpse has just been disposed of, Burned to Ashes so he may never rise again. But the Smoke tripped the Fire Alarms, and for the thre seconds it rang, The servants all over this street were alerted to your position...
---------------------
Karen was Curled up in the corner, Near tge small electric heater you had found. Thankfully, The electricity hadnt failed yet. Karen was cold though, even so close to the heat source.
Looking around, she looked at her companions. The three of them were all odd, Especially the Boy. She had forgotten their names already, but the other girls face was burned into her mind. Karen found her Stunning, beautiful to.behold. Even now, she took a sly glancevat rhe Egyptian girl, bwfore returning to her musings.
Ooc- Ziggy, You can make your Entrance however, But I'd suggest using the fact theres Servants converging on tge school as a good excuse.

Zeek looked up at the two girls and proceeded to swallow his mouth full of food before talking "I told you burning him would be a bad idea, should have just stomped his head in, but no that would be disrespectful." He looked back down at the cooked rat he was holding and proceeded to slice another chunk of meat from its leg before popping it into his mouth.
"Well obviously we can't stay here anymore as the infected will be jumping down our throats soon. Anyone got any objections or idea's for finding a way out of our home away from homes?" He asked before offering a pair of energy bars to the girls, since he highly doubted they wanted to share his breakfast.

Keket had been quiet since she'd made it to this basement. For several days now they'd been holed up together. Ordinarily the prospect of being stuck in a room with people her own age would have thrilled her, she didn't make friends easily and that would have been great...but this was not a trip to the mall...she'd kept all her prayer times saying them in hushed whispered arabic while the others had slept or milled about.
It had been her fault that the Marine was burned, when the lads had gone to stomp on him it was the first time she'd spoken at all...something about her dark gaze and reprimanding manner had been enough to convince them that they should give him a proper send off. She glared darkly at Zeek when he sniped at her for the problem they now faced...she knew it was her place not to speak to this male, but her ego wasn't having his routine and she stood from her place kneeling in prayer and strode forward her skirt rustling, "It is better to die a human, than live like an animal...do not bow to your surroundings even in the face of Armageddon. " she glared turning towards Karen who she could see was cold. She herself wasn't at all cold. Her modest clothing choice and religiously influenced attire kept her quite cozy. However, Islam counciled kindness to others so she walked forward unwrapping the shawl she had pinned around her shoulders and offered it to Karen wordlessly.
She turned taking the bars also dropping one in Karen's lap and sitting down across from Zeek. She unwrapped the bar chewing it slowly to make it last. "We need a new plan...somewhere to hide..and weapons...we won't survive long without weapons and food and water. "I suggest we walk with Allah...if he intends us to be here, he will protect us...and show us the way." In her mind that plan sounded like (please do not swear)....but she had nothing else...and she did take comfort in the fact that Allah had a plan for her. Sometimes when you have nothing....Faith is enough to keep you going.

Zeek sighed before throwing the his meal into a nearby bin and putting his head into his hands "Look I've had the religion argument with enough people to know that neither one is ever convinced in the end. It's a waste of time and energy neither of which we have much of." He took his head out of his hands and noticed both the girls looking at him, and almost reflexively pulled his hygiene mask over his mouth and nose before carrying on.
"We could start another fire I suppose if the gas is still running, worked pretty well for me back in the Bio lab but we risk a lot. We don't even know if their drawn to light and heat or replied. The noise would get there attention though..." and with that he started going on a mumbled rant of all the pro's and con's of the idea. He hadn't talked to himself in months not since before he moved from his home town where everyone avoided him due to rumors about being a serial killer, but since the girls weren't the most talkative of people he had picked the habit up again. A habit he himself didn't like to be honest. Not because it scared other people but because it was a bad sign of his mental health and even he could spot his early signs of insanity.

She had finished her bar and tossed the wrapper in the trash can where it landed on top of Zeek's dead rat. Her face seemed to darken at his words about religious types. She mumbled in Arabic about people like him being why Allah was punishing them with this travesty. She watched him mumble to himself her face grim with amusement at him. If anyone needed God and faith, it was this young man.
She folded her hands together briefly and shook her head, "Setting fires seems poor...We need food and water....we should try to make it to the palace...or a mall perhaps." she glanced at the others,"None of you are at all dressed for the weather." she sighed bleakly and folded her hands together returning to prayer briefly.
Eventually, she stood up, "We should move before it becomes dark...you can walk anyway you want, but I'm sure your prudent mind agrees that being in a group is safer than alone." she glanced at Karen and Zeek, "I say we move and find a new place to hide...maybe we deal with food and water after that."

Zeek blinked as he heard her speaking in Arabic and turned back to her a questioning look on his face and saw her with a sadistic little grin on her face. He shook his head and look away again. He had a good idea why she was grinning like like but he didn't really care, she could think however the (please do not swear) she wanted about him it didn't really matter in the end...especially when this probably was the end.
When she mentioned their lack of clothing he looked down at the three layers of shirts he was wearing and simply shrugged. Karen on the other hand was a different matter, she did need the cloths. Abruptly Zeek jumped to his feet and stared walking towards the back of the boiler. "Make it up as we go along then? As much as I like to take a step back and look at the situation your right about out lack of time." He threw back a small curtain that concealed behind the back of the boiler to reveal a mess of scattered paper, pens and in one place what looked like the skeleton of a rat. He bent down and carefully placed a few select pages of notes in a folder and some blank paper in another before grabbing his first aid kit. He placed the lot in a medium sized backpack as well as what little food he considered "his" or better put what was stored in his corner. Lastly he picked up his small roll of dissection tools and placed them in his lab coats pocket before walking back over to the girls.
"I guess we better start going when your ready then." he said gesturing to what little was in the room and turning to the door to look out of its small glass window. Before he reached it however he stopped and turned to the Muslim girl. "Oh and by the way what I said about religious arguments was nothing against you, I was simply stating that neither side is happy with the arguments outcome not just religious ones." And without waiting for her to respond he walked over to the door and peered out of the window into the lit corridor beyond.

Karen wordlessly.took the Shawl, holding it tight in trembling hands. She nodded her thanks to Keket, and then wraped it around her a bit, Shivering from the cold- and blushing heavily as shevrealised what just happened. She pretended to be busy eating, But also stood up awkardly. "I... Well I think we shoukd head for tge Stash, that tge Marine mentiined. At least, it'll have food and supplys. And if its a safe Zone, my Parents might be there. After that, We'd be able to plan someore." Realising how much she had said, She blushed and hid her fave in her hair- A Habit of hers, along with sucking on a strand of it, and tapping her chin as she thought. Even as the two watched, her tounge idly slipped out, looped a Stand of Karens hair and pullef it into her mouth, tge dark hair in stark contrast to her pale skin.
Ooc- Ziggy needs to make an entrance

Preston sat back in the corner of the room, arms crossed, listening to the others debate the best choice. After one of the girls spoke for going to the stash, Preston voiced his own opinion.
"I think we should go for the weapons. I am not a sharpshooter, but i am decent enough with a rifle. It is the best chance we have for survival. We are going to die if we stay here"

Brian could not have had more mixed feelings than when he smelled smoke coming from the air vent beside him. True, smoke meant that there might be people. It also meant that the killers he had slipped up and gotten to close too had a greater chance of sniffing around in his direction. He kept moving stealthily along, the three servants that he could were at least a block or so away and not hunting near his position. Yet.
Then a fire alarm went off. Just for a shriek or two. That was enough. He heard one of the things cry out, and saw five or six more of them that had escaped his notice come out from behind buildings, much closer than the three he had been watching. Of all the....he wanted to just leave and run as fast as he could. It had served him well so far. He had only had to use the sword he'd nabbed from the Tower of London twice, once to hack off a clawed hand that came close to ending him, and once when he hadn't been paying attention and a servant nearly took him from behind. He never bothered to see if the wound he'd given it finished it off. He was too busy running like mad. Which he felt he would be doing again very soon, thanks to that alarm. Spying a window devoid of glass, he vaulted inside and landed cat-like on all fours, instantly checking the room for anything that might like killing him. Seeing nothing, he headed for the exit at a fast-paced slink, glad to be out of sight though still in danger.
The school was deserted except for excessive bloodstains, as per the norm. Desks, clothing fragments, papers...all thrown on the floor and often covered in dried blood. Nothing here was really useful at all...and nothing really showed him where the people who may have set off the alarm were. If there even were people. It could have been an electrical short. He thought for a bit as he investigated further. If the smoke had come from the higher floors, he wouldn't have smelled it. And there didn't seem to be anyone on this floor. So that left the basement. It made sense...although you could see better from the top floor, the basement would most likely have a heavier metal door and be surrounded by earth and concrete foundation. And so it did, as he saw when he arrived in front of it a minute or so later.
There were claw marks in the stone and metal, the area was covered with them. That and blood. Again. Judging by the scent of charred flesh coming through the cracks in the door, this had to be the right place. Now he just needed to convince whoever was inside that he was human, without making more noise than already had been made.
Moments later, his driver's license shot through the crack in the doorway and into the room beyond. Not like he needed to hold on to it now or anything...

"Hmmm maybe god did send someone in our hour of need after all." Zeek said in his usual tone as he picked up the drivers license and showed it to the group before looking out of the window again at the guy in the passageway. "Now I'm no leader but is everyone for letting this bloke in? I for one think that someone that has survived this long would be handy at a time like this." He said as he got ready to move the thick plank of wood from between the door handles, all the while a three inch scalpel blade concealed in one hand . "Just give us a shout when your ready."

Before he could try to convince anyone of anything he heard a bit of a scuffle about the door, "What is this, a horror film? Just be careful" the door slid open and Keket almost shrieked in surprise as she saw the man before her. She looked him over and then reached out pulling him into the room and closing the door and locking it all over again.
She stepped back away from him drawing closer to Preston and Karen for protection. Her expression was dark as she stared at him. The others seemed as surprised by him as her. She drew forward having already realized somehow that she had a somewhat undeserved dominant role in the group, "Who are you?" she said her voice quiet and somewhat dark. "Why are you here? Are you infected?" She pointed at Preston, "Answer before we are burning a second body."

Zeek stepped aside and allowed the girl to pull the plank out of its place, letting the stranger in. Under normal circumstances he would have thought that the best coarse of action would be to slit her throat before she could put them in danger, but his curiosity got the better of him like usual and he allowed the man in. But it didn't mean he should let his guard down and before the stranger could see him Zeek stepped backwards into the shadows his blade still ready for use.
When Keket backed towards the others he couldn't help but smile at the usual signs of mistrust and rejection. Turns out that even after the end and no matter how much you believed to be a "good person" there was still no room for Zeek. Not that that really mattered he was here to learn and if the others didn't want to have anything to do with him so be it. The smile however dropped when he heard her talk and was replaced with a look of curiosity as she assumed a somewhat leader like position. Funny really since she had literally said nothing until an hour ago, and when they did listen to her they where put in danger. How some people thought he would never understand.

OOC: I wish I would have known there was a window...Brian would have waved instead.
"Easy, easy, easy!" he whispered, motioning for utmost silence. "I'm not cut up, but there are about a dozen heading towards this building who are. I don't know what the heck you burned to..." He noticed the charred remains in the corner of the room. "okay, I do know, and that's definitely not how you burn a body. But that's besides the point. You've got serious trouble. And despite the fact that we're all probably gonna die horribly very soon, I'm really glad I got to see your faces before that happens." He noticed the really freaking tall kid was holding something in one hand. He had a decent guess as to what it was from the way everyone was looking at him, and the fact that the beanstalk was the only calm person in the room. He shook his head slowly.
"Look, labcoat guy, I don't know what you've got squirrelled away in that hand, but trust me, if it's not more than an arm's length, it'll get you killed. THIS isn't even long enough" With that, he drew his sword, which glimmered in the dim light. "So, is there anyone else? By the way, I'm Brian, and I'm from freaking Kansas. Wish I had some ruby freakin' slippers right now...But I don't, so we should get the heck moving if we're all here. How fast can you people run?"

(ooc- did mention the window)
Zeek cocked his head at Brians words about his blade and brought it up to his eyes as if examining the it "Yea you might be right about that, but it aint for killing the infected. In fact its a lot better killing their counter parts." His eyes glassed over as if lost in memory but he quickly snapped out of it looking a little ashamed of himself.
He visibly shook from head to feet before slipping the blade back into its sheath and stepping forward. "Well I for one am happy to see another face around here, these guys are horrible for conversation." He gestured to the other still huddled together before (a little awkwardly) sticking a gloved hand towards Brian. "I'm Zeek by the way, and if we get threw this I have a lot of questions to ask you if you don't mind." He said the last part with an almost manic glee in his voice at the prospect of learning more about the hell he was happily living threw.

Rio's slim figure sat on some boxes in the corner, his head resting in his hands. He'd put down his IPod a few hours ago and then just sat nonchalantly. When the marine had come he hadn't moved from his spot, this stash didn't interest him, the crisis itself was inconvenient. He glanced over to Preston, talking about rifles, Rio had never touched one... perhaps they wouldn't find much use for him. Karen amused him, he could see the live of life in her eyes, every moment was agonising for her and yet she couldn't help but feel helpless. Zeek.... something to prove, nothing to hide, how boring.... atleast he'd brought something, although scalpels didn't seem to serve as much of a weapon. Keket, he listened to her prayers, almost wishing to walk over and tell her how futile it was. He was a strong Atheist, no divinity would save them, this whole operation was just a stall to the end. He picked up the book he'd left on the floor, his English Literature assignment. "Why is Daisy so attractive to Gatsby and is she worth it" read the title, he hated English Literature even if he like the Great Gatsby. Commenting on other people's work was so laborious. He smirked, it'd never be done now, atleast he had some paper even if they'd make him burn it. "Maybe I'm being rude, but I should probably let you know I'm here." His voice was low, yet it revelled in the surprise if those around him. "I'm also pretty sure I'm human, but you an decide that." He shrugged noticing the fear on Karens face. "I'm not sure if you've noticed but these things are supposed to be intelligent and faster than us... going out on foot is suicide now their numbers are up.." He sat back down, piling up his exercise book. "Just sayin..."
OOC- sorry its late, I was hospitalised.... badly.
