If you are putting them on burnable DVD's I wouldn't worry about using anything more than a colored sharpie marker. Acrylic paint would probably be fine for the DVD but if it's the type of player that feeds in the DVD I'd be worried about the paint coming off on rubber components on the way in. Paint flecks landing on the DVD laser lens would be bad

I would say as long as its got a disk tray you should be fine. Or you could just use scratched up disks you don't need any more, or buy a load of cheap ones off the net.
