A Great Disturbance in the Force (SW Ep VII !!)

Eh I think they'll end up recasting new actors for the lead rolls. Only Ford still looks mostly like his younger self and even then he's still aged a good deal ( you can tell it all through Indy 4 that he is older). I think for film 7 which takes place after 6 its just too little "world" time difference to really explain the characters change of appearances. New actors and some CGI I think will be in order, though I'd welcome camo appearances of the original actors here and there in different roles -- or they could appear in the 8 or 9th films depending upon how much time passes in those films (considering the time scale of 1,2 and 3 it could be doable - though then again 4, 5 and 6 take place over a very short time period in the story world).

New actors I won't begrudge, its just been too many decades since the original to get away without new blood on the screen.

It's freakin' Star Wars! What's not to like? Well...

Actually, I liked Episodes I, II and III. Sure, they didn't have the brilliant storylines of the orignals, the characters weren't as gripping, Anakin, in all his forms, was a total douche etc etc etc.

But they aren't as bad as everyone makes out to be. I think too many people compare them to the original three (which is understandable) but as film in their own right, they're okay to kill a boring two hours, if you want action and shooting, Star Wars style.

I will try not to be skeptical over the new film and, if and when it comes out, I'll probably watch it and enjoy it. Whether it stands up to the originals, remains to be seen...

It has been proven that there are many people that are capable of writing good Star Wars scripts. I actually have faith in the new movies.

Besides, if it ends up being bad, how much worse would it be than the prequels?...

I am impressed that nearly everyone I know stood up and said: 'Well at least George Lucas might be kept in line a little.' or something to that degree.

At first I was paranoid about Disney's buy-out, but to be honest I just want to see something other than the thoroughly flogged horse corpse that is the Clone Wars.

We'll see what there is in store. I'm not expecting the old Star Wars feel - a fools hope perhaps - but rather curious what the modern day Disney may do with the franchise.
