Tyranid Fortifications (terrain) in 6th ed

Has anyone started working on ideas for fortifications for tyranids?
post your ideas, comments, and recommendations for all such fortifications here!
ill go first of course, and lets start with the pieces we already have established and my take on what they should do:
Digestion Pool - 50pts - Base size - medium crater - crater counts as impassible terrain - Toxic Emissions: has the same rules as per Venomthrope spore cloud, with the central point being the center of the crater.
Brood Nest - 200pts - Base size - small crater - Spawns 3d6 hormagaunts each turn in the same way that a tervigon spawns termagaunts. doubles rolled = empty nest
Capillary Towers - ?pts - Base size - forest terrain piece, with 1-3 towers - ?
New Ideas:
Ripper Hive - 50pts - Base size - 60mm - spawns 1d3 Ripper swarm bases per turn. cannot spawn out like tervs/brood nest. - rippers within 6 inches do not test for IB, cannot eat themselves accidentally.
comments/ideas/thoughts?

I think I might have a hard time selling people on those where I play at. I have thought about modelling and making up a back-story for weapon emplacement equivalents for dealing with flyers. I need a good excuse to have an aegis defense line and gun with bugs Just mounds of carapace material and a gun emplacement creature I think I recall someone posting a resin version of what I'm describing somewhere but I forgot to bookmark it.

Two spare carnifex carapaces, and four of the medium and/or large venom cannons make awesome quad guns. I'd have it all modeled up if I wasn't in the middle of a mad dash to finish painting my bugs.
My bigger challenge is going to be making a Nid version of the landing pad. 4+ invulnerable save folks. Money.

I have a couple of ideas.
What about mounting up 4 Impaler Cannons and call it the Quad Impaler Cannon? We could make it 4 Str 8 AP4 shots @ BS 4 (with/without the cover rules for impaler cannon) for about 90 points? If it's too powerful then give it the Limited Sentience rule from the Mycetic Spore so that it has to shoot the nearest enemy unit/flyer...unless it's under synapse then it gets to shoot at whatever you want.
We could take it one step further and create the big brother ... Tyranid TL Rupture Cannon = 125 points. Give it 2 Str 10 AP4 @ BS3 but TL it. Same rules as above.
Give them Ripper Tentacles for Overwatch purposes since their main gun is only a skyfire platform.
Also, I think all Mycetic Spores should have the Skyfire rule, but that's just wish listing...

I am puzzled here. Is this wish listing or home brew rules? Did I miss something in the BGB?

^Good idea about the quad gun, Rpricew. Maybe the without cover rule could be swapped for sky fire, either on the armylist or even as a choice before deployment. Makes sense too, 'smart-missiles'
@ Drakiskier. I really like the rules for the digestion pool and broodnest. But the broodnest is way too expensive. Compare it to the Tervi and see what more she brings to the table for the same points.
The capillary Towers are ea difficult one. Maybe something like high range shadow in the warp?

I think you guys are confused. Who and where are you going to be using your made up rules? By all means custom build fortifications, but they have to be a "counts as" fortification from the rulebook if anyone is going to allow you to play with them outside your buddies in the garage.
Using four impaler cannons sounds... ludicrously expensive. But if you have the cash to burn go for it.

I am puzzled here. Is this wish listing or home brew rules? Did I miss something in the BGB? The original post was some wish listing ideas... I was doing that too. Of course that's all they are. People could definitely come up with Nid versions of the BGB Fortifications and that would be cool. However as far as I'm concerned they don't really fit the theme of Tyranids very much. I'd prefer to have specific ones for our army since we seem to stand out so much and are so different from everyone else.

I will be honest I am very unhappy that GW gave everyone BUT us any kind of fortification. I know we don't have tanks or other technologies that the other races have. Yet we still (living) space ships and (living) guns. So why not a (living) gun that shoots in the air with a (living) wall to give us some much needed cover. I doubt the Hive mind was to dumb to not come up with a way to make it happen.

In the midst of battle, Tyranid fortifications could come in handy, but remember that Bastions are meant to last a long time, and Tyranids don't stay longer than they have to on a world.

Costwise is really pretty cheap if you pay attention to Bit lots from Ebay, or even buy from Bit stores.

Oh I thought we didn't get fortifications. Still no skyfire We can use quad guns or Icarus lascannon with the Aegis Defense Line, just not the guns on the bastion or fortress of redemption. It comes down to a bizarre technicality between gun emplacements and emplaced weapons. So some Nid players are working on Nidding out the defense line and quad guns, although personally I would opt for the 4+ invulnerable save from the landing pad.
