Thanks Atrocity, I've gotten about 10 more games in, but haven't been able to finish the batreps.
I'm loving Tyranids in 6th, and have only had two armies that have completely given me fits.
Classic venom spam and GK Razor spam.

Keep it up man! Love all the batreps!
And also wanted to say your paint scheme is amazing. Very original, and unique. Look forward to seeing more from you.

I played a 2v2 the other week me and a Ork player I tried 3 Tervigons for the first time and my ally had 3 units of lootas, 2 battlewagons with 20 shootas in. The enemy had aload of pre-heresy chaos marines in drop pods and Space Wolves with 2 Runepriests, 5 units of greyhunters, 3 long fang packs. Basically they killed all my Tervigons in the first turn due to Jaws of the World Wolf and aload of missile fire.
I did have a rematch with my friendly Chaos army though and we had a bloody good game, which it looked like he was winning and then looked like I was winning and a draw happened in the last turn, so Chaos Marines seems to handle Space Wolves okay but Tyranids I'm finding difficult.
How do you find you are coping against Space Wolves armies?

I find them as tough as always. The list you played against sounds like it was made just right to take you out. I'm not saying it was tailored, just a good counter.
My game against Space Wolves was a table in 4 turns in my favor. Vanguard deployment, with my alpha strike list early in the blog. I hit the long fangs with Ymgarls, Deathleaper went after the Rune Priest and lowered his Ld -2, however I actually sent Deathleaper after the 2nd devastator squad killing it after 3 rounds, and I used Doom and Flyrants to get SITW over the Rune Priest.
They just became regular Marines after that, and marines die very easily when swamped by Gants. I timed the Alpha Strike so everything hit Turn 2. Make good use of cover and stay away from Runic Weapon and Jotww until reserves can put the SITW over him.

2500 points (about)
Turn one was night fighting with the Tyranids taking the 2nd turn. Vanguard deployment. We played Kill Points, Bases, and 5 Objectives.
Deployment & Turn 1: (Let the games begin!) He castled up his 40 marines on his base, put the 20 man assault marines in reserves and loaded up the deathstar in the Land Raider dead center. I spread out and failed to seize initiative. Turn one he drives forward and then goes flat out. The sniper infiltrated over on my right and took a shot at a Tervigon causing a wound. My turn saw the production of about 60 Termagants and everything moved up with Iron Arm/Endurance on the Swarmstar and FNP on everybody except that one Tervigon that made 6 bugs, burned out and failed his Psychic Test (what a bum!) Spawned Termagants move and shoot the sniper who fails his cover save and dies. FIRST BLOOD to the Tyranids. Harpies move up and do some shooting at the Land Raider and Marines scoring a single Hull Point on the LR & killing one marine.
Turn 2: (He doesn't know what's about to happen to him!!!) His Assault Marines come in and scatter into impassable terrain, but they go back into reserves. The Shooty Elite guy with the lightning gun rolls about 18 shots before rolling double 1s (assault 2), so he wipes out a unit of Termagants. He shoots both of his "fury of World Eaters" at one of the Harpies and after grounding it, I roll three 1s in spectacular fashion killing it on the spot. The Librarians give several powers to Angron's unit and they pile out of the Land Raider. They multi-assault a Tervigon after some shooting some gants (the Swarmlord was just out of reach behind a 10 man unit of Devilgants). Angron can issue as many challenges as there are Characters in a combat, so he challenges the Tervigon. Angron also causes ID on a wound of a 6, so needless to say with 8 Attacks, Hitting on 3s and wounding on 2s, re-rolling misses, the Tervigon went down in an explosion of epic proportion killing about 15 Gants with him. (I had terrible flashbacks to Thomas's DreadKnight) ~We realized we gave Angron the bonus attack for charging, but shouldn't since he multi-assaulted.
I load up the Swarmlord with FNP, Iron Arm (T8/Str 8) and Warp Speed (+2A/+2I) & he gives his unit Preferred Enemy (Angron!). In my counter assault, I sent the Harpy, another Tervigon, a spawned unit of gants, and the Swarmstar to Counter Assault. Harpy lowered Angron's initiative, but he still swings before the Tervigon. Angron gets to split his attacks between all of the opponents and chooses 3, 3 & 3 for each of my characters. Tervigon Dead!, Tyranid Prime swings & wounds and then dies, Swarmlord whiffs on his attacks but yet causes a wound and takes a wound in return. The other two Harpies shoot and kill about 8 Marines from one unit and a unit of Termagants assault the Shooty elite.
Turn 3: (Ruh-Roh Raggy!!!) The Assault Marines come in and again scatter into impassable terrain and they go right back into reserves. SITW shuts down 2/3 powers cast, but Hallucination slips through, and I fail my DTW roll and the Swarmlord just stands there like a dummy while Angron unloads his 10 attacks (since he got one extra one each for killing 3 characters). Angron promptly steamrolls the Swarmlord who fails his 4++Invulnerable save 4 times. To top it off, Angron rolls IWND and regains a wound before marching off. Now I'm down to 3 Tervigons and about 7 units of Termagants, but every round I'm losing a Tervigon to either Death or Burning out. I have two HQs left and one scoring one. I have snuck a unit of Termagants all the way in my right holding an objective and have two units of Devilgants surrounding Angron's unit. Over the course of of turns 2-3 shooting with everything caused a wound on one of the Librarians and killed 3 of the TH/SS guys. Combat continues with the Shooty guy, but all I'm trying to do is keep him tied up with disposable Termagants. I send a Tervigon in to wreck the Land Raider which explodes in epic fashion, but alas Angron and his unit take no wounds.
Turn 4: (Survival Mode) SITW shuts down most of the Librarians powers and Angron moves towards the Nearby Tervgion, challenges it, and swats it dead. Angron, 2 Librarians the Apothecary & 1 Assault Terminator are left and they consolidate in the center of the board. (Two Tervigons Left!) The assault Marines automatically come in and they hit their deepstrike perfectly about 10" from my base, shooting a nearby unit of Termagants, who I was planning on moving over to my base on my turn. The Devilgants in the center unload on one of the big units of Marines killing a few but more importantly lowering their leadership. And my final Harpy shoots the remaining 15 Marines that the Devilgants shot, killing enough to force a panic check. They fail their leadership and fall back. During the Assault Phase, the Harpy assaults them forcing a Leadership Check that they fail which kills them all. The Tervigon on my far left, shepherding my Termagants forward on that side, burns out creating 14 Termagants who move up to take an objective on that side of the table, in the same piece of terrain that the Shooty Elite guy and my other Termagants are still swinging at each other in. I run forward into terrain with the Tervigon to force Angron to choose which way to go. I'm about 11" away from him on the left and about 24" away on the right. A unit of 3 Devilgants shoots and kills the Apothecary, taking away his FNP!
Turn 5: (LAST TURN) He splits up the Deathstar at this point. Angron heads for the objective (and 14 Termagants) that I had just taken, the Librarian & Assault Marine head for the Tervigon on my left, the other Librarian heads for a unit of Gants nearby a center objective. He uses his "Fury of the World Eaters" shooting attack to remove the last Harpy from play. Angron assaults the 14 Termagants killing about 10, but they're fearless and hold. The Librarian gets challenged by the Tervigon who smashes him to death. The TH/SS guy causes a wound to the Tervigon. The Librarian in the middle rolls poorly on his DT test and almost contests the middle (5" away!!). The Assault marines multi-assault the Devilgants and big Termagants unit on my side holding two objectives pulling me off both of them. (I knew he had forgotten about my holding the objective on the far right where I killed his sniper, but I kept that little secret to myself). My HQ tervigon spawned 12 Termagants and then gave them FNP and both units move up within 1" of his last big Marine unit sitting on his base. My goal was to take his base, hold two objectives and NOT win Kill Points (How could I win Kill Points with 5 Tervigons??? REALLY??). I had FIRST BLOOD and LINEBREAKER at this point and he had SLAY THE WARLORD. Since Angron has to consolidate towards the nearest enemy, I left my small 3 man unit of Devilgants just closer to Angron than my Tervigon on that side of the board was, but in the opposite direction to pull him away when he consolidates (LOL). My Tervigon kills the Assault Terminator easily and consolidates toward that nearby objective, and another small 3 man unit of Termagants move to take the center objective. The Shooty Elite guy kills one of the two remaining Termagants that had kept him tied up 4 turns (YEAH!!), Angron wipes out the 4 remaining Termagants and consolidates away from myTervigon. Hive Guard shoot and kill the Librarian in the middle (doubling him out!!), and in an awesome display of destruction, my HQ Tervigon assaults with his 12 Termagants winning combat by 2, and sweeping all of the marines holding his base and consolidates onto his base!!!. His Assault Marines finish off my Termagants and consolidate onto one nearby objective.
Game Ends
Final Score: Kill Points: World Eaters: 17 Tyranids: 9 Bases: World Eaters: 0 Tyranids: 1 Objectives: World Eaters: 1 Tyranids: 2
TYRANIDS WIN
I thought the World Eaters Legion was awesome to play against. Angron is a beast, and when you put him in a Deathstar like that, it's pretty unstoppable in CC, however it's over 1000 points! If I had some better rolling, the Swarmlord MAY have been able to kill him, but I wouldn't count on it. My only thought was to maybe shoot him down, but those damn Terminators kept NOT rolling 1s. We both agreed that I had some terrible rolling early on in the game, but it balanced out near the end with perfect rolling on my Tervigon spawning late game. The Lightning Gun guy, whoever he is, was terrifying, but only because I was rolling 6s to save. All in all, a fun game!
