Shrike kit from Chapterhouse comin!

I emailed Chapterhouse to give them praise on my Ymgarl heads and asked them about any upcoming Nid stuff. Got this, "Working on releasing a Shrike conversion kit here this month so look out for that."!!!

Woot! I'm really excited to see their take, hopefully they have a fresh spin on the wings like they do with the bone swords and lash whips.

They are probably stressed out from the news that GW have a Warrior kit ready to be released. I wouldn't buy the CH kit before I've seen the new GW stuff, the horrible CH Tervigon kit is still fresh in my mind.

The CH Tervigon kit wasn't horrible. It wasn't great but it wasn't horrible.

The GW kit is of course much better but it took them still many months after the CH kit to come out. Possibly more than a year.

Hey, I'm happy to buy GW if they offer it. CH were filling a gap in the market GW had neglected, and kudos to them.

Yeah, GW will probably have a better model, but until they DO release one, I'd be happy buying Chapterhouse.

We'll see, I like CH's boneswords more because they look more alien. I always thought it bizarre that GW's idea of alien, symbiotic boneswords just happen to look like swords humans make. Kinda lame. Even has a handle and a hilt haha

I somehow doubt the GW kit will have shrike options. I'm betting we get a ne heavy weapon (the "unknown biomorph" in the 6th ed book) for skyfire and maybe some prime options seems more likely, but since they bumped the warrior kit up to $47 who can say

I don't doubt they'll include wings if they do release a new Warrior set but Chapterhouse is bound to have more highly detailed wings. I emailed the guy back and mentioned they should keep in mind how closely the wings would let the shrikes get to each other so they don't end up getting screwed out of BTB like Gargoyles do. Hopefully they take/took that into consideration, would be cool to not have problems like that as I can imagine the GW ones being spread out wide and killing our models getting into BTB.
