Bill Bailey has always been my favourite comedian. He has this odd doddering style as he rambles from topic to topic before finally getting to the punchline, if he manages to remember it that is. He also works some fantastic musical pieces into his work.







I actually had to spend a good deal of time finding clips of Dylan Moran where he doesn't swear up a storm at some point. Unfortunately he's a little defanged because of it. These aren't his best bits but I'd highly recommend people look up his better stuff on Youtube as he's actually hilarious once he gets going.





Dara O'Briain is another great Irish comedian who is great at on the spot improvisation. A bit tamer than Dylan Moran but still barbed from time to time. He's also a complete nerd despite looking like a six foot two bruiser who just walked out of the nearest pub.
(That word he uses in the second video is 'feck' by the way. Not '(please do not swear)'. It's colloquial Irish slang on the same level as 'damn' and 'bloody'. Just saying for any scrutinising mods watching.)

I'm a big fan of political satire, and Youtubing "Marcus Brigstocke" will throw up some of the finest current British political satire, but that's not Hive-friendly.

Sadly, it has to be a youtube video.
In which case you would type youtube in the brackets.

I'm my 1st three favorite comedians, Brian Regan is my fourth.
I was lucky enough to win tickets to see him perform earlier this year.

Normally there should be an option on youtube for sharing on forums (BBCode) otherwise it's just the following in most cases. It depends on the forum software.

My favourite stand up comedians have to be Eddy Izzard, Al Pitcher and Johan Glans. Although the latter is swedish, so I doubt it'd be much use to link him.

This one is classic.




The last one is a bit of swedish in it but I believe Pitcher manages to convey it quite well for non-swedish speaking veiwers as well.

DUDE! Tim Minchin is a beast! he is reeeealy funny. my parents went to a show of his once and mah dad got caught out snorting like a pig in the front row. it was not pretty ;D

Ah yes, Tim Minchin is a very funny, clever and poignant man. Definitely worth looking as his shows. I also think he happens to be a wonderful musician.

Denmark has some of the best and worst of comedy. The most prominent of the comedians is a guy named Anders Matthesen, commonly refered to as 'the duck'. He is outright brilliant and hillarious and has shown great flexibility in playing different, idiosyncratic characters, making catchy songs with somewhat inappropriate lyrics, Christmas calenders (no idea what that is called in english) and so on. At one point, due to his popularity, people would illegally download his shows on the internet. His response? He made a video with the same length and name as his shows and started spreading it on the internet. Occasionally, some people would download what they thought to be one of his shows, only to discover that they had been trolled. Quite brilliant.

On the other hand we have this horrible SNL knock-off called "Live From Bremen." That show really needs to die. Violently.
