Out of no where, Las gun fire filled the sky, the bangs of krak grnades and stub pistols echoed throughout the complex. Like a fog in the morn did the winged creatures disapate. From some of the bunkers, blue robed men emerged, bearing the mark of tezeench - there were survivors!
About 50 marched from the back of the fortress from the gates of an underground complex. Two tall, twisting blue fire daemons flanked a Baneblade. They took position either side of the Fotress gate which opened with a loud roar. The small army tyranids outside began to charde at their oportunity but didn't move more than a few meters before the super heavy's tank demolosher cannon decimated the horde.
A tyranid prime, a few termigants and carnifexes rose from what remained. The flamer daemons than moved forth and held up the survivors as the cultists poured firepower into the invaders. The tyranid Prime, dashed past the demons and crashed into the fire line, mudering 10 men before an imposing figure clad in terminator armour, nodding his head as if to guesture a challenge to the large tyranid warrior. With a screech it charged at the sorcerer who released a torrent of warp fire, driving back the alpha warrior and the last termigants and carnifexes followed suit.
Each of the members of the group was now surrounded by cultists, rifles to their heads at close range. They were lead before the Chaos lord and made to kneel. He espied Xynothys,
"Oh you eldar has been quite a meddaling." He then signaled Uopia free.
"You, sorcerer, have been of great use. using those who escaped The Sacrfice exemplifies your wit. It is unfortunate that the will of the Slayer of Souls brought the hivemind's attention to the local tyranids"
"So what killed half of all life on this planet then?" Xynothys spat, recognizing no status the Terminator held.
"Well", he smirked, "The only name we know him as is Aetaos'rau'keres*, If you eldar didn't interfere than the hive fleet would not matter." The Warp stom over head coninued to darken. The Shadow in the warp was near. There's only so much time the webway will be accessible.
Xythonys knew that they were between two world destroyers.
