What army next....

I want to start a new army, and my top 3 are Tau, Necrons, or Guard...... But Tau, you know...... suck at combat..... Necrons..... people say they are boring..... and Guard.... well, they are weired. Anyways, post your votes and opinions please! (You don't see Space Marines or Tyranids because I already have them)

My vote is for orks. Only thing more terrifying than a nid swarm is the green tide. Plus you get to shout WAAGGGHHH!! One or sometimes more times a game

Imperial guard, as they're one of your choices, plus they can be fun to play and have good fluff and models (but if rumours of an upcoming codex are true, you might want to wait)

I'd say Tau... They look awesome on the battlefield and have some GREAT long-range weapons. The standard fire warrior (normal troop choice) has the best gun in its class for the game (30' Str 5). They are weak in close combat, but kroot (even though they are weak) hold off close combat and stall the enemy. I find that close combat can be really deadly,, but if you know good tactics, it's easy to get around. Tau have great firepower (and look at the hammerhead tank.....WOW)! Hope it helps.

I say Choas. Since you can now take Marines from all of the gods you can have a very hard hitting force in both shooting and CC. Plus you get some serious armor, lesser and greater demons, demon prncies, and guys like Typhus( my favorite CSM). Oh! And don't forget that you get Oblierators and termies! But Tau is a close second, cause for all they sucky CC-ness they can drop a Khrone Berserker and 20 yards

I say try out the Witch Hunters. They're ridiculously rare, so few people play as them - but I've fought them and they're quite random. Plus, you know you want to field nuns with guns!

I went with Orks. They've all ways been my close second. They are really fun, really angry, really random, and really green. What's not to love? I also might have said chaos, but since you all ready have space marines I decided against it. Because, in the end, they are still technically Marines.

But, if you wanted a stellar opposite of Tyranids, I'd indefinatley say Tau. That way you could be on each end of the specturm, one really assault oriented force, one really fire power oriented force, and space marines kind of fall in between. Plus, thats a good way to expand your horizons. Each force requires a different thought process, different responses to threats, etc. etc.

Or, we could go the simple route.

Which one looks coolest to you? Decide on that, then build on your decision. Nice and simple.

with the orks, you can do alot of conversions (looted wagons anyone?) and all you have to do is buy any tank (space marines cos they are eaiser) and a trukk box set and you can make a looted wagon!
mabey even a battle wagon!
