What army were you b4 you started nids?

I was space marines, but all of the marines being the same got boring, so I made a ratmen horde for 40K, using Nid rules, counts as FTW!

and those tyrants are so hard to convert, my friend just glued jump packs to his feet and said "wings enough for you?" I think my friend is nuts.

I played Blood Angels Space Marines but got bored so I'm all Tyranids now. I don't expect to get bored with these nids!!!

Well I'm Black Templars to the core, but as said above some aspects get a little boring to decided to collect Nids.

And to be honest, they were the one race I swore never to collect after a tiny venture into them about 10 years ago didnt go very well, at the time being more of a hobbist I found them very frustrating to paint, and didnt really like them that much. But the Carnifex model was the 1st one Ibought recently, and it went from there.

I got a nid army now, so now back to the Imperium.

I think what you meant to ask was "What army were you before you started tyranids?" We use real words here, not the l33t or chatroom speak.

My first ever purchase was the Blood Angels boxed army waaay back in the day
'nids were my next 2nd ed army and with the exception of an occasional run with Necrons, I've stayed pretty faithful

a long, long time ago... i played a codex Marine chapter of my own design. ("The Regal Malediction" for those who care)
...but i stopped playing 40K for a number of years.

i recently (within the last year and a half) got back into it... but as Nids this time around!

though, i also got back into Marines (in the form of Imperial Fists, since Lysander is borderline busted)

I first had lizardmen, then i got some skaven, but they got boring.
I then bought a tyranid battleforce from someone.(for €10,- the normal box is €80,- )

Tyranids were my first army. I played the Tyranids for 2.5 years before I picked up my Necrons. Still not a Marine player and the next army I plan to start will be DE.

I played Black Templar and was starting to get bored and switched to nids. Now I'm creating a Daemon Hunters Army based on the fluff for Inquisitor Krytman. It's going to be Krytman and his body guard of Inquisitorial Storm Troopers charging forward in Chimeras. While the allied Space Marines that have had encounters with the nids before say screw that and sit back and shoot.
