Well, I am gay, so I do have a personal connection to the topic... but I am not sure why the topic evolved into, "You only put this up to get attention because you like being different"... I can tell you i don't, but that isn't the topic, it isn't about me.

The use of us is kind of accidental. I can't say "them"

Honestly, I just had a watch at some guy's look on how Homosexuality is wrong.
After 30 seconds I wanted to punch him so hard in the face that he would cease to exist, thus raising the average IQ of the world by a considerable margin.
Seriously, the people who are totally against it are mostly morons. Ignore them.

Look man, for me personally, I'm straight male, and I may not like male on male or such, I don't go out and say I hate gays. I don't. I don't agree with it fully, but I don't say I hate the person.

Also your going to the wrong people for advice on Christian beliefs. Also there are thousands of people saying different things! Lot of these guys don't fully know what the Bible says or even the THEME of the Bible.

My Manager is Bi-sexual and she is married to a female. I'm not saying I hate her. no I think she is a AWESOME manager! I don't agree with the way she does, but I can't change people, and/or Control. Everyone has free will thats how God made us. Bible doesn't agree with Homosexual, as with Acholism idoil worship and many others. But with Jesus teaching of Love your neighbor more than yourself, we love all people.

Just like Acholism I don't hate my dad for used to being one or when he was one. But I hated Acholism.

I know i'm posting this don't take it as a attack or personal attack, but I'm just putting my opinion just like you did, with yours.

And Because I feel this way, if you post anything about BASHING me, or saying I'm stupid and Iggnorent, then you know what?
YOUR as the same or worse then those who bash gays.
Why? because you don't want me to think the way I do, and you want me to have ideas you do, and you will be worse then any haters, cause you will be hating me.

Just because I am gay... doesn't mean i am "radical gay", just like I don't believe all Christians hate gay people. I just wonder why these people would pull specific vs out of the bible to prove the point that homosexuals are morally and ethically wrong... but ignore any other passages. The same people who say that the bible should be interpreted word for word, commit many of the sins that they protest. I am curious as to why?

Which, I realize there are people who have actually answered this question (rather than just focusing on the fact that i am gay) and I appreciate that :-)

@wis: interestingly, the 'word for word' interpetration is quite new. Even in the dark ages people generaly recognised it as an old system and tried to find the underlaying meaning of the pasages.

That didnt end well... But still.

the bible says in Matthew 7:21 "not everyone saying to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my father who is in the heavens will." also verse 22.

Basicly its saying that there will be those saying their saying the words of Jesus and teaching but their not really. Their "tickling their own ears" and hypocrites.

There are some scriptures like said that don't agree with men lying with men but like said we love people and we all got free will.

yes but the people who wrote it were 1st hand witnesses of him, and also how amazing can a book be written by over 60 arthurs and over 2000 years of time between the beginning and the end, books, and all the arthurs had the same theme. Also this is the most accessible book, and survived countless book burnings and countless, trying to destroy it entirely, throughout history.

But I don't want to get into a religous debate and I don't think anyone would want to go into it either.

My personal belief is a rationalistic one (based on the definition of a rationalist before people call me wrong and conceded)

I believe in god. I believe in a higher power. But I believe that helping others is far more important than going to church every Sunday... or watching what I say/do every day of my life. Free will is something we have. Even if not everywhere it is allowed... it is a gift we were given simply by being born. Just as these super radical people believe things like, "If god wanted me to pass high school, he would have made me smart"... I believe that whatever we do in this life is not judged.

Something in our nature, be it from God or evolution, makes us who we are. Regardless of who we like, or what we like, or how we live our lives, or why we choose to move on, what we find interesting, what we dislike, what we are good at, what we can't do... these are all things we are meant to do.

Nothing is impossible. The God that this group of people i posted my topic about... I can't believe in. No matter how hard I try. Isn't it love for his children that he represents? It is impossible for me to believe in a God that is hateful and blind. If, that is the god that exists, then not only am I surely going to hell... I will embrace it with open arms... because what is promised beyond this life under that truth is something I will never get. And something I don't think is worth myself.

That is just my take on religion. To many wars have been started because people argue about the right way to love Him... when, I don't think there IS a right way.

Like said Jesus bring about how false prophets in sheep clothing will come up. Matthew 28:19 and 20, bring out go out and preach, and make disciples.

I understand how mad you can be by people who say they are from God and yet say so many things that are evil!

Give you illistration, If you tell your child if you had one, to not touch the Stove cause it will hurt them. But the Child touches the stove, and gets hurt. Would a human dad then say "I told ya not to touch this stove!" and force the child's hand on the stove to burn?!
Of course not. How can we be made in his image and if we won't do this, why would he?! It doesn't make sense. Cause he doesn't do that.

So many people say what they want to say, and false storys and so many different poor statements. More than Half preists and other so called Christian church's barely use the Bible! Some don't even believe Adam and Eve existed, even calling themselves Christians.

I feel your pain and your anger on those who say to help, and lie to us. Thats why I try and defend Bible truths as much as I can. By giving facts and verses for all to reason on.
