A little bit of history:
Back when I was new to the Hive, I noticed an awards thread celebrating some of the most invaluable members of the Hive with various categories. It seemed a successful way of getting the whole Hive together and, overall, tons of fun. Unfortunately there's never been a repeat of this which is a bit of a shame. So I've decided to try and organise a revival of the idea with a brand new awards thread.
All credit goes to Dangeresque, however, as the original idea was his in the first place.

So without further ado, I give you:

The winners are those that received the most votes from the members of The Tyranid Hive over the last three weeks. The three closest runner-ups will also be given an honourable mention in no particular order.

The most esteemed award! The de facto "most awesome member" of the Hive.

Loplod: I set the date for four days from now to give some time for people to make suggestions for awards, rules, etc. If everything goes smoothly I'll probably bring it forward to the 25th.

@aux: Definitely. The more award suggestions, the better.

Anyone else who has ideas, post them below. I might edit them in when I revise the OP tonight.

Sounds like a really neat idea. Shows which members are the most appreciated in a whole spread of categories. But I think it may cause a few hurt feelings, especially with Helper, Painter, and Iconic. But I suppose it cannot be helped.

Keep your suggestions coming. Voting starts very soon (possibly less than a day) and once it starts, no further catagory changes can be made.

killercroc: Hopefully noone will be too upset if they don't get an award. There are only so many to go around. I think I'll include runner's up just in case. It would suck if someone was beaten by only one or two votes and didn't get any credit for it.
