Lan slowly marches through the hallway until finally her killing spree is over. With that she comes to a door that looks well enforced. She can hear murmers from inside and she grins as cuts the door open and prepares for the fight on the other side.

She kicks the door open with a flourish her blade held ready and her skyboard just near her feet, Inside she is stunned.

Children scream and cry at her and she sees dirty, hungry, and scared faces. There are at least 2 dozen children here and the all cower before her. Save for him. A young lad can't be older than 16. With a hard look in his eyes who stands and holds a pistol at her. Her eyes run over him like oil and she finds herself licking her lips unconciously at him. "Put that down boy" she purrs at him stepping forward her eyes still appraising him. He faulters but doesn't back down. She steps forward as the children back away from her and she reaches out touching his face and turning it. He flinches under her touch and grin like a tiger spread across her face. He looks at her hard, " I will make a deal with you boy. You come with me and I'll let all them live." the lie is sweet to her lips and he nods slowly putting the gun down and holding out his hands to have cuffs put on.

She shoves him out the door and that is when her second Kaytar appears holding the commader she was in search of. "Excellent job Kaytar." She smiles. Kaytar glares at the boy, " another pleasure lady." she flounces past Kaytar snapping her fingers, " Not quite we have a deal. I get him and I don't kill his friends." she smiles her grin purely malicious. Kaytar nods taking out his blades and walking back in to where the children are.

The screams as Kaytar murders the children will haunt her forever she later realizes. But what damns her the most is the look on the boys face. So cold and filled with hate, so angry, and so hurt. She realizes later that at that moment she had truly known what it meant to be dark.

Kayith and her wyches crossed over another mountain, finaly reaching the cannon. 'Our goal sisters. let us advance at nightfall'

ooc- im gonna skip ahead to nightfall.

ic-Kayith crept upon the almost silent guardsman facility. The hevay wepon teams sat, sleepily obserbing the surrounding area. Kaith hoped the luminous green on her armour ad been dulled suffciently with the soot she had covered it in. The nearest gate had 2 men on guard, idly chatting. Kaith signalled for her wyches to stay behind. As she drew closre, Kayith heard them talking. one, the current speaker stopped suddenly and stared towards the rocky outcrop that Kayiths wyches hid atop. Kayith Stabbed the other in the back as he turned. He died very silently. The other turned to ask if he had heard what he had. Kayith, fully visible, simply walked closer. The guard went to shout. Kayith grabbed him, pulled him closer and kissed him. his voice died in his throat. Kayith then cut his throat. she wiped her dark red lips, spat on the body and muttered 'disgusting'. she then signalled to the other wyches and slowly opened the gate so as not to atract attention.

Filithinax stood behind the wall of now 7 guardsmen wearing thick carapace armor. they were standing to protect the Governor who stood at a podium, below them stood hundreds of refugees and guardsmen armed in the standard lasgun and flak armor. around that were the pitched tents and fire-pits where blankets and resting places lie. the whole fortress was able to watch the announcement believe it or not. for the guardsmen manning the wall defenses could turn around and see the powerful Governor give his speech. The whole chatter and clamor of the crowds died down as the Governor raised his hand to speak. "Thisssss should be gooooood..." Filithinax laughed to his cult.
"My valiant defenders of The Emperors Tear fortress! I come to speak before you today to encourage your heavy fighting! these wretched, foul dark elf fiends will never steal your soul from His guiding light! Remember that! and you will never loose to them!" The crowd cheered in gleeful approval. The Governor hung his hand on a trinket around his neck to hold his hand to his heart. "my people... my friends, actually, a full adeptus astartes chapter is on its way here!" The announcement made many stand up and applaud with such happiness and hope. "The Silver Skulls chapter makes headway for this very planet now! reports are coming in that the space battle is almost ours! we can win this!" The Governor raised both his hands in triumph, the crowd went wild.
"but! if we cannot hold... then the marines cannot have a secure place to come down, and will not be able to save this planet in time!" The Governors voice died down as if to discipline. "So we must hold in order to save My planet! The Emperors planet! Our Planet!" He received much approval now, and closed his hands to stop the cheering. "now i leave you to continue to inform for the Space Marines. the recruitment tent is over there should any male between the age of 16 and 55 feel inspired to hold this place with full glory! My People! i leave you!" The Governor turned and walked away. The crowd cheered with extreme excitement. "He can really rousssse a demoralizzzzed crowd, can't he massster?" One of his mandrakes asked behind the moving Governor and his escort. Filithinax followed them, as his cult followed Filithinax. "he knows how to lie..." He muttered as his eyes narrowed on the mouse of a man these people called 'Governor'
"Ssssso we are not loossssing? Masssster?" A mandrake questioned. "No you foolsss. it wasss jussst a jessst to make thessse incompetent defendersss put a little bit more towardsss their demisssse. The battle in orbit is nearly won, yesss, but by our Ssssuperior fightersss. And if, they recccceive any Ssspace marine enforcsssments, we have webway portalsss sssstrewn across the landsss." Filithinax explained to his fooled squad. Hisses of disapproval at the Governor's lies came from behind Filithinax. The Cult darted through shutting doors and marching Guardsmen as the cult delved deeper into the fortress. All the Guardsmen not protecting the Governor or General were moving to the gates, rallied to the false hope given to the defenders.

Kayith stuck another guardsmans face onto her blades. Her squad had killed the heavy weapons first, and now it was just a matter of avoiding the lasgun fire that the panicing guardsman had brought to bear. A gunshot from a commisars bolt pistol cracked through the air- a guardsman had tride to flee the battle. The remoralised squad aimed their lasguns at kayith and her wyches. An officer shouted 'First Rank Fire! Second Rank Fire!' and the full force of the lasguns was unleashed. Kayith Ducked under the lasfire and fired her splinter pistol at the commissar. The mans head was peppered with splinter shards, killing him instantly. The battle was over- the guardsman began to flee, and no one remained to keep order. Kayith and the wyches began to cut the survivors down, laughing with glee.
